This place is awesome. Food is great, staff is superb, and the live music is the best, especially if you are lucky enough to catch a Paddy Gibney and Bill Ayerbe show.

Good stuff is on tap like Guinness, Harp, etc., but the food should be your real reason for going. Atmosphere is a little touristy - for a more local crowd, try Jimmy Dengates!

The place IS touristy, but as a recent tourist I found it a good stop for a couple of black and tans and dinner. The draft beer selection is heavy on the swill including Bud, Bud Light, etc., which seems to be a Charleston pub trademark. Many places here serve only Palmetto if they even offer a local micro at all. That said, the food was good and reasonably priced, the atmosphere decent, and the service friendly and efficient. Worth a stop, though the new Mandalay on King Street is the place to go for beer.

This is a tourist site but still worth a visit. Close to the market and the hotels, it draws a wide variety of people. Okay for families, probably not what a young couple is looking for.
