It is painfully obvious that they allow under-aged people into the bar on certain nights. The doorman with the tats needs to be checked that he's doing his job properly. I want to enjoy myself, not be concerned that the establishment is doing their job, hiring the right people to do THEIR job right, and actually check for ID and not allow under 21 year olds into the bar, no matter what day oft he week it is. Other than the illegal aspect of that, the bar is not too bad.

I received terrible service from a cantankerous, aspiring hipster bartender. Later, on my bank statement I realized that he had tacked on a more generous tip to the bill than I had left. TERRIBLE. Won't be going back any time soon until I receive restitution.

I went here a few times and had ants crawl on my all three times. And on the last occasion, I was sexually harassed by the owner. Classy. I won't be going back, and I urge others not to support the establishment.

I haven't been to the place in years, but I used to love it. Awesome selection, good music on the jukebox, unpretentious, mellow crowd. Definitely a good time.

I hung out at McCormicks for many years in the late 1990s. It was the best years of my life. I was a barfly for sure, but that's what the place is there for. If you like to play pool McCormicks is the place to play in New Brunswick. I agree with the sentiment about not being good for yuppies and older folks. It's a wild, anything goes, 20s to 30s kind of crowd. A sponteneous place, and the women aren't that bad either. When I used to hang out there, the women were quite nice and well educated, but not pretentious, just they way I like it.

One of my favorite bars. Whether you are in the mood for a microbrew IPA or a $4.00 pitcher of Pabst, it's the place to come. Great College Bar. Not clean, so if you are into that, stay away! Beer soaked carpeting and smoke stained walls add to the charm.

McCormick's defines the term dive bar. You need to knock at the door because the dart area coincides with the bar entry. Ms. Pacman needs to be moved to play darts. And they have foldout chairs if you actually want to play Ms. Pacman instead of darts. The one bartender also signs up on the pool sheet and you can't get beers for the 5 minutes while he's playing. They have one pool table and it's a long wait even on weeknights. Luckily everyone is wasted so you can actually get a few games out of your 75 cents. They have a good selection of beers on tap and in bottles. It's a good bar for shooting the shizzle with some friends. Not a place to meet women. It was maybe 10% female and you'd need a lot of beer to take one of them home.

Selection can't be overstated - $4 PBR pitchers to $14 Guiness pitchers (poured right!). Great unpretentious hangout. High points incl. pool table, kickass jukebox (Anthrax to Zeppelin) and old-school tabletop video games. Lows incl M/F ratio & dearth of seating

McCormick's is a great beer bar. The selection is outstanding and the lines are clean. At least a dozen good beers on tap, and they are usually fresh. A must stop for hop-heads. The last time I went they had Victory 'Hop Devil' Sierra pale ale and Sierra Summerfest on tap. All 3 tasted fresh.
The juke box has a wide variety of music, including much punk and metal. The crowd is divided between college students, many of a freaky nature, and locals. On weekends the place doesn't get crowded until after 10PM.
Prices are fair. About $3.50 before tip for a pint of good stuff. Cheaper deals include $3.50 pitchers of Schaefer. 'Pints to Go' are also available in 1 quart cartons. Great for the ride home.
Warning: McCormicks is a small place and does get loud and smoky later on in the night. It is not suitable for yuppies, people with children along, the elderly etc.
Activities include darts, pool and checkerboards on the bench tables.

A fun place to hang out on a Friday Night. Metal on the JukeBox is always good.

Who the hell thought of serving lobster in one of the first bars that I got crabs in.Mano-Mano-chevitz. If you enjoy manly love, look no further than Mccormicks. I spent the night talking to Henry Fitzpatrick & Patrick Fitzhenry. If Schlitz is a qualification for a "BEER BAR", I'll have one for the road.

This place is terrible. Expensive beer ($8 for 2 pints), broken pinball machine, no women, and rude people.
