Whenever I visit my hometown, Walpole, I always split my time between the Eagle Brook Saloon for great beers and great burgers, and the Red Wing Diner on Route 1 for great fried clams - nurvana. Colin Harding, Fairfax Station, VA

Sorry, I have been a big fan, but Yesterday I had the worst burger EVER and today a piece of fish that has been in cold storage since the cold war. I don't know what is going on, maybe a new chef or owner, but not the outstanding food and service I have been accustomed to here.

Are you kidding me, someone gave this place a bad review?

The pizza is slamming ( try the Bufflo ckn) There chicken sands. are great! The burgers are yummy... Now the menu is huge but it's not that bad..

Besides aren't you there for beer and picky food anyway?

This is an outta the way, nice establishment - good food, friendly service, and FINE ale. Actually not far from Gillette Stadium. It's not a brewpub, as the ales are brewed by Mercury (Ipswich), but original brews, maybe 12 on tap not to be found anywhere else. Dog Breath Bitter is my go-to, but I had the Brady Brew (Harvest Ale) and the Oktoberfest the other day, and both were excellent, 'specially the hoppy Brady.

This is the secret place to 'tailgate' before the Pats kick ass...

I read a good number of bad reviews, I don't get it. I like the place just fine. The food, well the better choices are fairly atypical. The pizza is really quite good. Good enough that on any given night, theres a number of pies on the bar waiting to be picked up by locals. The other good choice is the garlic sirloin, nice cut and well cooked every time. Most of the people I know really like the Bluberry LAe, myself, I don't like fruit in my beer.

N/A N/A Lousy So So N/A
It's too bad when your best offerings are nachos and salads. A lot of people patronize you because there's not many options and you have a fun bar. However, for the many times I've been there the only good meals I've had have been salads and an occasional burger. I asked for a gin & tonic but in a smaller glass, the waitress didn't think you could do that when I've requested it before with no problem. Would you have a problem giving less and charging the same? Educate them! Next, get with the times! Who uses those small wine glasses. Invest in some nice big glasses. It's so much more classy. I felt like I was having a drink in the 70's or in a cheap tavern, not to mention the wine was not chilled but room temp. Experienced bartenders should know when to put the next bottle on ice. I ordered Terriaky Chicken. My meal was served on a very small plate, which is ok I guess but I received one half of a chicken breast (I don't remember ordering a half portion) and the vegetables, weak carrot & Broc. mix was right out of the freezer. You made me wish I stayed home and prepared dinner myself. So sorry but it was a Saturday night out and I hoped for and expected a little more than mediocre.

If you're in the area and you've got kids it's no a bad option. This is NOT a saloon in any sense of the word. Yes there is a partioned-off bar and yes they do have some micro-brews(not their own). It's a family friendly restaurant and the schtick is Western with lots of woodsy paneling. Better than a Fridays, I guess.

A very nice pub. The beers and ales are tasty, certainly the best in the area. The bar service is very friendly. It is very nice to have such a nice beer bar so close to home

Good So So Great Great Good
The atmosphere is great and so is the food. The beer is typical of New England, bland dry ales with no body. There is a large selection of beers, but they all taste like bitters and milds. Overall, the atmosphere is great and the beer is slightly above average. If ever in the Philly area, try Victory Brewery in Downingtown, PA. They brew great lagers and full bodied ales.
