Place was hopping on the Friday night I was there. Had the Pub Ale, first cask then off the tap. The was good but there was more than an inch of foam at the top. When you order a pint you should get a pint of beer. Pub Ale from the regular tops was fine. Also had the IPA. Very hoppy, filled your nose and then your mouth with hops. Well done. The veggie burger is a black bean concoction. Clearly house made and quite well done. Very busy with the college crowd and the after work crowd. Sat at the bar and although the tenders were running my glass sat empty for less than a minute each time.

I know this review is a bit late, but... Let me say that all the beers I tried were quite good although the selection was a little limited as they were out of two, my favorite being the ESB. The Walleye hoagie with jalapeño mayo was a huge, terrific meal. A very nice atmosphere with great service, my glass never went dry.

Thank god for Town Hall. I live in Roseville, MN and this is what I show my guests. The cask IPA is stellar! Food is pub food, but good and they are fast. They care about their service and their beer. Doesn't get better than that, and they know how to pour their beers to perfection. Makes me proud of my twin cities, although I wish it was in Roseville. Roseville has Old Chicago, which is suburban crap.

As a former resident of Minneapolis, I definately miss this place. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend getting on their email list if you visit frequently. They will keep you informed on their specials and seasonals. Their ambience and beer quality set the bar for brewpub excellence, in my opinion.

We really like the THB. It took a couple visits before we really were comfortable with the place, but it's now one of our favorites brewpubs in the Twin Cities.

Thank you Pubcrawler for helping me find this great place. The facility is quite interesting, very clean and thankfully -- not at all smokey. The staff was exceptionally courteous and worked together as a team. I had the Masala Mama IPA which was one of the best I recall enjoying so much. The menu has pub fare common to many places but also has some nicer dinner options as well. In addition to the nice beer variety, I saw one of the most extensive scotch collections I have ever seen at a Pubcrawler restaurant. My food was excellent and arrived before my first beer was gone. (That is good- in my book) I will be certain to return here on all my future visits to Minneapolis. Mehtab was a fine bartender. I appreciate good service.

I come in every July on my way to Fargo. When I used to live in the Twin Cities, this was among the few places I could get real beer. What seemed funny was that I discovered them in Colorado at the GABF. Afterward, I stopped in. The owners and employees were really down to earth, very nice. The beer was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing. I look forward to filling the growler twice during my trip every year: once on the way to Fargo and once on the way home (assuming I can get it past TSA at the airport).

Stopped by for just a few minutes while travelling across country, last month. They were recuperating from a brewing problem, so didn't have many of their own brews on tap - I'm sure they've recovered by now. Nevertheless, the beers they had were great and they had supplemented with "guest brews" to keep a super selection up. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable - a joy to converse with.

India wheat ale (seasonal) 5/10; "Blueberry Hill" (seasonal) 5/10. Rating is where 10 is best. Six beers on tap, brewed on premises. Turn of the century ambience.

The IPA was so good that I didn't try anything else. I had a steak and my friend had a burger, both tasted great. The service was excellent.
I travel the country constantly and I rarely taste a brew that's as good as what I drink back home. I'm truly impressed.

I had the worst dining experience of my life here. I love beer and I was super excited to go there and tip a few back. It took 15 minutes for somebody to greet my date and I. I had six different servers and three folks that looked like management pass by us and not one of them said hello or asked to put our names on the waiting list. Finally we were put on the list. We chose to wait in the actual bar area and get a beer. The bartender was a pampas ass who thought he was better then us. We finally were seated and the server we ended up with would have rather been any place besides working his dead end job. The kitchen was open and you could see the line cooks munching on anything and everything while they were cooking the food. I did happen to have a coupon for this place for a buy one dinner get one free which I decided to use. The burger was ok that I had but the veggie Asian wrap my girl had appeared to be rancid. I also ordered a cup of an Asian Thai soup. It was nasty. I took one taste in set it to the side. The waiter took it from the table and didn’t ask if something was wrong with it. I also ordered a beer sample and he just set it on the table leaving me to decipher which of the eight beers was which. He then just brought us our tab. He didn’t ask how dinner was or if we would like another drink or if we would like to have dessert. To my disbelief the soup was on the tab. I told him that I shouldn’t be charged for the soup due to its poor quality. He said he would talk to hi manager about it. He came back and stated since I was using a coupon for dinner that the manager wouldn’t remove the charge for the soup. At this point I had about all I could take of this place. I asked to speak to the manager and over comes the hostess who mind you was drinking out of a glass that appeared to be beer. I sure could smell the alcohol on her breath. My guess is that she was a part owner. She said why didn’t I complain about the soup at the time I tasted it? I started to tell her about my experience at the restaraunt/brew pub and I told her if she would kindly take the soup off of my tab I would gladly pay and be on my way. I told her I would not be coming back and she said that if I promised not to ever come back that I dint need to pay my bill. I was astonished at her lack of customer skills and the fact that she could care less about my horrible experience. I have never in all my life had to deal with such poor service and I will be sure to let everyone I know what a dump they are running there. And it really is too bad because it’s just few moments from my house and the beer was good!

Good Food, Good People, and AMAZING Beer! What can I say, this place practically feels like a second home! The worst thing about this place is trying to decide if i should start with the scotch or the stout.

Generally very good beer, especially the IPA. The bartender was excellent--knowledgeable about the beer, ready to discuss other local beers, and available promptly when a glass approached empty.

The seasonal brews can provide welcome variety. It has, regrettably, been sometime since I frequented this establishment, though my memories are excellent. Brew on.

I always mean to try the other beers, but the IPA is so good, I sometimes forget. I wish they could ship me a keg of the IPA out here in Ohio.

I had the sampler and tasted all of their beers available on May 6th. The "Introductory" Blonde Ale and Oat Meal Stout were the best this week. Followed by their Hefenwize and Grays Wheat beer in flavor. They had three bitter, IPA Ale's. In general they were well hopped and bitter, but lacked in the finish (would be hard to drink more than one). In regards to food, they load-up on the fries with your sandwich. But I would suggest going to Grandma's next door for dinner prior to visiting the pub.
Decore is great!

Not a bad place...and I agree with an earlier post regarding parking. Park in one of the many garages and be done with it. I went looking for cask ales, and they featured two, and IPA, which was a typical bitter American IPA (an AIPA?), much more bitter than the English version. With that said, it was pretty nice. The Scotch Ale, also on cask, tasted like a Scotch Ale should. It was not great, but at least it was true to style. Finally, I had a nitrogen infused Pale Ale, which the bartender said was "an English Pale, like Bass". Like a really bitter Bass. Hop city. I like hops, so I guess it was all right.
The folks there know their beers, I would drink there again.

By far the best brew pub in the Twin Cities area. IPA is awesome and so is the stout. Don't waste your time going to Barley John's as some people have put in thier review...just stay here and drink a few more pints.
