The crowd spans all ages, philosophies, and tastes. And so do the beer and music. With more than a hundred beers to choose from and music 6 nights a week, if you can't find something to like about The Thirsty Ear, then you just can't be pleased.

If you like the blues and beer, this is the place for you. We stumbled in on a Saturday night after Wisconsin beat Ohio State just in time for one of the best blues bands I have ever heard. The beer selection was very good. I would have preferred a couple more pale ales, but with music like this I wasn't complaining.

The bartenders are some of the best in the city. They always enjoy their job (High marks to the always smiling Amy and friendly even though he would never admit it Bill). Go there for the beer. Stay there for the music. Check out their web address at www.thirstyeartavern.com

EIGHTEEN taps, about 16 of which are micros, crafts, or good imports, including 4 or 5 locally brewed selections. Maybe thirty more flavors in bottles and cans in the cooler. Owners Margo and Jerry like good beer, and it shows. Best jukebox in Columbus, live music several nights a week, and rock-and-roll memorabilia from Jerry's massive collection of posters, albums, and autographs is on display. Warning: This place is addictive.
