Though I vowed never to step foot in this place again, it was the venue of a concert act I really wanted to see. So I plugged my nose and went. To my astonishment, the Cubby Bear is now merely somewhat of a waste of bar space rather than a complete waste of bar space. The tap selection has improved quite a bit, though with Hacker Pshorr Weiss and St. Pauli Girl as the most interesting offerings, it's still not what PubCrawler.com regulars would consider a serious beer bar. The back room actually has something approximating a pub atmosphere, but the front (main) room is still just a big open space designed to warehouse hundreds of adolescent grown-ups power-gulping Bud Lite before and/or after Cubs games. Bar service was extremely prompt considering the 500-plus crowd there. Better than it used to be, but still a place to patronize only for "must-see" concerts.

Bar manager rude, he got into a brawl 'cos he couldn't keep his big mouth shut. What he has against women I don't know. From what I could see lucky the bouncer was there to save him. Never Again. Apart from that the waitress Rebecca was a good laugh!

I can't believe I actually suckered into spending money to walk into this place. What a bomb crater. If it weren't across the street from Wrigley it would have gone out of business years ago.

If you consider this a legitimate pub you need to leave the friendly confines my friend. Tourist trap is the correct description of this place.

The Taps are rarely cleaned, the beer tastes like it. All of the beer is mass produced macrobrews with the exception of Goose Island, which through a dirty tap is unpalatable. All this for a $10 cover charge and $4.50 for a beer. No thanks..

This is a tourist trap, it's like drinking in a wearhouse with 1000 other drunk baseball fans. Unless there is a special and you like to sweat I wouldn't go near this place

One of the better bars in Wrigleyville. Music is usually good. Gets quite crowded and it is a bit on the small size and prices are quite high. But, all bars in that area are.

Known more for their live music and locale (across from Wrigley) than their beers. Check out some of those bands with a quality pint.

Right across the street from Wrigley Field. An awesome place to get some beers before, after, or even during a Cubs game.
