best burgers in town, I know I've had them all. they're half price all day wednesday. also the steamed shrimp, $10.95 a pound, are big and fresh and sprinkled with Old Bay. Peel and enjoy big time. I happen to like the Stella and the Resurrection Ale, but there's lots more, including Natty Boh in the can. A real local place, the young yuppies all go down the street to the Red Star where the beers are also good but the food is mediocre and over priced. what do they know, they're yups.

This somewhat-off-the-tourist-path bar packs so much "character" that if it were replicated for a Hollywood set, it would be rejected for "trying too hard". Don't miss the dozens of tap handles hanging above the bar, and the many (reprinted) vintage beer posters in frames and (authentic) breweriana on the walls and shelves. The beer selection was quite respectable when I visited, ranging from cans of National Bohemian (75 cents) to draughts of Yuengling, Sierra Nevada, Pilsner Urquell, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Brewers Art. Unfortunately, this place is up for sale--time for the owner to retire--so give it a visit while you can.

lose the attitudes, the owner at the end of the bar should put her drink down and show some respect to the customers. The servers should try and smile. The food was great, but that is about all!

Good place to go to get away from the fells point crowds. Some decent local beers on tap but wish they had my favorite Vermont beer on tap. Otter Creek Copper Ale!

House beer was stale and bland, Mexican Samosa's were the most greasy awefull things I ever ate. Fat fried filo dough is a REAL bad idea. Bring back the Oxford class ale as the house beer.

I've enjoyed it several times now both in the afternoon and evening; though I have had the best of time when C. T. Newton opens his November Art Exhibitions each year.

Too bad the bar closes at 1 am. Really cute bartender and I agree about " Dr Bob" but everyone I know calls him Dr Boob.

A good choice on any night, especially after spending time in another packed Fells Point saloon. Great selection of food including raw oysters and a bucket of mussels. Enjoy the Majic Hat #9 on draft along with many other fine choices. Friendly waitress, Cosmo, makes the evening more entertaining. Pool room available also.

This local Fells Point pub is one of my all-time favorites. Located a ways down off Thames Street, not many yuppie tourists find it, so most of the regular patrons probably live within a few blocks. The bartender told me it dates back to the 1880s. The bar itself features a spittoon that runs the length of it and, long ago, had running water. Check out the antique beer cooler at the rear of the bar. You absolutely must visit The Dead End when in Baltimore, and take it all in. It's a place of real beer drinking history!
