La Tuna is as authentic as it gets - sit a spell under the pecan trees, enjoy a cold one, and thank god that you were lucky enough to stumble on a place like this. The service, prices, and overall coolness of La Tuna make me want to pack my bags and move back to SA.

La Tuna is a South Texas Icehouse, with many different kinds of imported and domestic brews, both premium and ordinary. It is one of the few places in San Antonio that gets a cooling afternoon breeze in the summer, which is good because there is mostly outside seating. They don't have much of a food service, beyond snacks, but there is an empanada bar next door that sells great food.
