The Red Rooster doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. It's a working-class locals bar with friendly waitstaff and a small patio. However, it serves no beer over 3.2% alcohol, which to many of us is a show stopper.
Inside you'll find some TVs, with a movie on, and typical bar decor. Although the place is often noisy inside, the patio is quiet and a great place to read a book on a sunday afternoon.
The kitchen is typical dive-bar fair, and I've never seen anyone order food here. Instead, you can get those calories with very reasonably priced beer served on tap in huge oversized mugs. Beer selection is great for 3.2, but that doesn't say much.
Overall, it's not a bad place, but if you're looking for quality over quantity, look elsewhere.
