I can honestly say, that as a visitor from England to Cincinnati, RP's is one of the best pubs in the world! The barstaff and regulars at RP's made my 19 months stay so memorable in so many ways, from Kay's fanatstic service even when they were at their busiest to Jodie's, Lisa's, Robyn's and Daniel's welcome from behind the bar. The service was always with a smile and they always made me feel so welcome, so much so that I am going to miss RP's and the friends I made there terribly, now that I am back in the UK.

I have known Vince for over 10 years he was one of the first people I met when I moved to Cincinnati. I remember when he was talking about wanting to open up a pub...he always wanted it to be an Irish pub. He looked all over Cincinnati for the perfect place..he found it in Oakley. I remember when he was busting his butt getting the place ready to open. He was so proud!! The items he used to decorate were from his parents house that he had saved after they passed away. He put his heart and soul into RP McMurpy's!
Actually, he put his heart and soul into anything he touched...including his friendships!
I heard today that he passed away yesterday. I could not find a better place to put my feelings down than this webpage. I have lost a wonderful friend. Cincinnati has lost a wonderful person. I will hold all my wonderful memories close to my heart, forever. Vince, thank you for being such an awesome person. You will be missed more than you would have ever known.

I was just there tonight and the place is way too small for what they try do. One half of this tiny bar had a full size band crammed in and it totally was a bad scene. This loud band in this small place ruined the whole pub experience. For a far better small bar, I'd recommend heading to Haps Irish Pub over on Erie. It's a way better experience. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

The 3 years that I lived in Cincinnati I basically lived there. I'm gone for 4 months now and I still miss the bar and the people like crazy. For me it made my time in Cincinnati so much better.

A great staff and a fun environment. The kind of pub others should emulate.

Was that last review from an employee or something? It's an OK place, they have an outdoors which certainly helps the atmosphere. I've been there probably a dozen or so times, mainly if my friends want to go, but it's just not my kind of place. Too small, too noisy, slow service if more than 30 people are in there. My guess is that if you are a regular it is pretty cool...
