This place is still alive and actually seems to be doing pretty well. I moved to Miami from the Northeast a year ago and was suprised at how few brew pubs there are. So when I found GB, I was pretty psyched.
If you are used to Pale Ales, IPAs, Porters, etc, then GB will be different for you. All their beers are German style lagers - pilsener, marzen, etc and none of them are highly hopped. Many of their beers use Hallertauer hops. At first I was disappointed, but I have since become a big fan of the place and enjoy their Golden Export very much. The Kolsch is not bad either and in the summer they make a pretty good Hefeweizen. I dont eat their food a lot so I cant say much about it, but you can find some GB food reviewshttp://www.restaurantica.com/restaurants/138553/">here , if you are intrested in the food.
The service can be a bit slow, and the place can be crowded on weekends.

Hurricane Wilma hit this area paticularly hard today. Lots of flooding and wind damage. I would expect this location to be closed for a while.
"...In downtown Miami, broken glass from skyscrapers littered some streets and sidewalks in the Brickell Avenue financial district. About four or five blocks of the avenue had up to six inches of water from a broken water main that was spraying about 15 feet in the air."

I barely got to the bar when congenial host Eric placed before me an open menu and started pouring sampler glasses and placing them on their respective "spots" on the list describing the beers. As I started to quaff he described the different beer styles and the fact that all but one are Lagers. They were all superb but I was at the end of my vacation at the end of the day and was beat. I stuck with something I knew so I managed to choke down two Kolsch's as I remember. I lost my notes (again), but their web site shows a Blonde Bock without the Kolsch description (yes, it’s normally a Blonde outside of Germany). Regardless, it was good.
The beer was reasonable priced at $3.72 each (must have been a tax thing), and the service was with a smile and a bit of knowledge which was refreshing. While I see on the menu they have won quite a few medals at the GABF and World Cup, that point wasn’t driven home. As a thank-you I bought two glasses on the way out!
One last thing – this place is easy to miss and parking is limited. It’s on the first floor of a large office building set back from a large staircase from the street. I drove by it three times before I finally saw the sign.

Very good beer, typical Gordon Biersch, decent selection. Food was very good but pricey. Server wasn't very knowledgable or helpful. Valet parking is available but when I called for information and directions it wasn't mentioned.

Try the Marzen, some of the best beer I've ever had! Food was good too. Had a nice tuna appetizer and my dinner was really good and so much that I couldn't finish it all.

The only beers on sale here are their in-house brews, but all of them are good. Food is good & range of dishes exceptional. Big, roomy, smart location with very friendly staff & a nice sports bar atmosphere. Try it!

High grades for this pub of the famous chain. Very good beer and a great time to be had for the sports fan as there are many television around to show everyones interests. Great for both family and friends to get together.

Even though the selection is limited, this place has some of the best German-style lagers in the Southeast. The food is pretty good too. Awesome happy hour on Fridays with lots of "talent".

This is a big, airy place with off-white walls and a fair bit of dark wood panelling. It isn't a hop-head's paradise, of course, as they make German lagers. I found the staff friendly and helpful and the service excellent. The menu has pizza, salads, sandwiches, and entrees (the goat cheese ravioli looked good). I had the fish and chips. The garlic fries are hardly authentic London fare but sure tasted good and they serve the best Cajun remoullade this side of my kitchen. Malt vinegar was offered, of course.
The Golden Export is a nice, clean Dortmund Export-style with a great balance of the light malt and the hops (aroma and bitterness to balance but little hop flavor). I thought that the Maerzen was a little light in color but otherwise to style. The Schwatzbier was both too light in color and quite strongly chocolate in flavor. Some is OK for the style but this was overdone. Unfortunately, there was some inappropriate sourness as well. The (Munich-style) Dunkeles is a star. It is clear "old gold" in appearance with a malty and slightly toasty nose. The body is medium and the taste clean and richly malty.
