This is one of the many example of newer great BEER BARS in the City, but, also in Northern Liberties. They have a great selection of only real beer; no budmilcors here. A real nice menu with awesome food. The bartenders and wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable about both the food menu and the beer selection. I recently did a pub crawl in the city and this area was where we spent most of our awesome day. The place is also comparable to Standard Tap, Abbey, North 3rd Street, and the hidden Druid's Keep. For those of you that have not been to Northern Liberties in a while or have never been there you must go and see how nice it is. It's a shame that Poor Henry's Brewery/Brew Pub was not able to hang in there for a few more years. They were the first to know what is area was to become. It would have been just another great place in the 3X4 block area.

After much buzz, I finally dragged my friends out to the Northern Liberties last night to check this place out--downstairs is small and narrow but filled with friendly people just looking for good conversation and great drinks (plus its a good break from the sweltering heat upstairs from the dance flr) The draught selection is decent (smithwicks, stella, hoegaarden, dogfish head)--I was impressed with the variety and the cheap price! Mixed drinks are average price but most definitely strong! The DJ/atmosphere on sat. is the best--great old school hip-hop/dance party music. Despite the heat from the packed dance floor it truly is an experience to be had---the feel of a house party, filled with people you don't know, but are more than willing to chat and bust a move on the dance floor with you. No pretentious people here--come as you are, comfort is key--def not a meat market kind of scene...and then after you're done with a night of dancing head over to the Silk City diner for some late night snacks (a perfect sat. night out in the city!)

Stopped by this place after drinking at The Standard Tap. I was impressed, and enjoyed the place more than The Standard Tap. I look forward to drinking there again. The staff and the beer selection were great. Keep up the work!!!

It's generally a good time here, I wouldn't consider it necessarily a beer bar, but the lounge upstairs usually provide good music. For strictly beer drinking, I would go down the street to the Standard Tap instead.

I always have a good time at the 700 Club. This very cool, small, local bar has one of the best selections of draft beers in the city, as well as a great selection of bottles. Since it's right down the street from Standard Tap and a block or so from the Druid's Keep I highly recommend it!

700 Club sits way North when walking... Anyone thinking North Philly is scary like it use to be should think again.
700 sits on a corner of a district that reminded me in part of the Strip District in Pittsburgh.
The place has a cool metal door, turn of the century bar backstop and some wickedly cool stained glass..
Don't miss the good selection of beer and some of the lowest import prices I have seen anywhere. Not to mention, the bartender was a freidnly gent the locals know well and a trusty black dog absorbed the petting fever of the Friday evening crowd...
A very short distance from the Standard Tap..
