Alrighty,
By the time most Rogue beers get to the New England area they have been abused via the long road trip. I have to say that the public house changes everything.
The barkeeper was great and he kept the samples flowing. The highlight was the MORIMOTO Imperial Pilsener in my opinion. This beer is just plain fantastic stuff when it is fresh on tap.
The seasonal was a beer called HOP MADNESS which was also quite tasty.
If you are a beer geek I highly recommend stopping by this pub.
Great stuff!

Rogue has a comprehensive beer menu fully equal in size to the food menu, with complete information on each beer. Unfortunately, with such a huge variety, only a portion is actually available at any given time, so one needs to be aware of that. Our server was very patient with us as we proceeded to order a succession of beers that were unavailable. He said new equipment was being installed (here or at the main brewery?), and would alleviate some of this in the fall. They had two nice varieties of beer bread that went very well with the beverages.
Unlike Bridgeport, Rogue tends towards high end malt and IBUs, and innovative hybrid styles. They offered an Extreme Bitter that was a cross between ESB & IPA that gets high marks indeed. I can only say kudos to a company that refuses to sacrifice their quality to shave production costs (unfortunately a very un-American trend these days).

I LOVE the Rogue chain, been a member for years. But I HATE this location. The locations in Newport, Issaquah and Eugene feel like good local bars with great beer and the staff at all those locations is super helpful and welcoming.
Not in Portland. I was uncomfortable from the moment I walked in the door and the service was slow, food portions seemed smaller than at the other locations.
I live in Portland, but frankly, if I want a Rogue beer from now on, I'll drive to the coast for it.

I had the Black Bitter. What can I say, it's a Rogue. The service is great. I just love this place.

Born, live, and die Rogue. This is by far the best beer the west coast has to offer. Ive been to The Portland, South Beach, Newport, Eugene, ans Issaquah because its so good. Next up is San Francisco, on my way to Japan. Dont forget to become a member. A beer for anyone and everyone. Shakespere, Dead Guy, Yellow Snow (Juniper), and by far the Imperial. Stand up and go have them.

I like this place, but don't go because it's more expensive than other places, and they didn't have the stuff to satisfy my hop cravings. Service is usually a little slow and the staff not that friendly. Worth a visit, though, if you're with friends and want to get a beer flight.

Rogue ales have a wide variety of beers (something for everyone), unlike Deschutes who all tend towards the malty side, and Root's who's all tend towards the hoppy side. The food was great, although a bit expensive. They are in the Pearl District which is the re-vamped-industrial trendy part of town. My friend and I sat at the bar, and I think we had the best waitress ever. She was fairly knoweledgeable about the beers, and we sampled a number of them.

Went to 13 brewpubs/breweries in one week 4/29-5/6, so I cannot write too much for each one, but "Beervanna" is the appropriate name for Portland. Every BP, beerbar we went to was top notch and friendly with great to awesome beers and service with few exception- the ones filled with smoke. But overall, compared to east coast, Portland is THE place for real beer lovers to spend at least a week. And we only did 2 McMenamins. Fly to Portland, grab an offcial beer map, hop on public transit (every BP was on a bus/tram/train line or a short walk) and have a beer blast!

If your here for the beer then this is one of the top breweries. Incredible selection of beers. The place is kind of a dive though. Food is ok and service is good. Once you have had a couple of beers, you forget how lousy the atmosphere is and how uncomfortable the seating is. Cant beat the beer though.

A must-see (or must drink-at?) when in Portland. This is an interesting establishment crammed with Rogue merchandise and paraphanalia; its restrooms labeled "Hops" (Men) and "Barley" (Women) Why? Don't know. Besides distilling their own rum, they have 20 Rogue products on tap and delicious Kobe beef burgers on the menu. If you are not driving - or not inclined to seek a parking spot in this trendy district, I suggest taking the Portland Streetcar as it runs right by. Here are the beers I tried: St. Rogue Red (abv44), American Amber (ibu 53) and a scrumptiously hoppy imperial IPA (ibu 75!)served in a special glass. Go to Rogue ...today!

When I go to Portland, I hit at least 5 or 6 brewpubs over a weekend. I've been to this Rogue three times and each time I walk away thinking the beer is okay, the service could be better and the prices are too high (compared to the other places I visit).

I almost thought I was in Heaven. Fantastic selection of Rogue beers and nice sampler's available. Food is decent. Wonderful, pleasant, casual Portland Pearl District atmpsphere with a friendly server who was eager to give advice. I only wish I lived around the corner or had another day in Portland. If in town you would be foolish to not stop in and stay a while.

This place rocks. Huge variety of tastes, with unbelievable quality - all with a clean finish! The strange neighborhood is SOOOO worth the beerz. Not scary - just industrial. Toured Portlands brew pub scene and ended up coming back for more! Unbelievable - the bottled Rogues in the liquor store DO NOT do this place any justice!

Probably one of the best brewerys around with some of the best beers around. The imperial stout, chocolate stout and imperial IPA are outstanding. The pizza was excellent and a great atmosphere. Probably 15-20 beers to choose from. A must if your in Portland.

Rogue has some of the best beers around. It's always a fun time at the Rogue. Especially on your birthday when they give you a free half-yard and t-shirt. The only complaint I have is that their beer is overpriced. $4.50-$5 is too expensive in Portland.

Rogue is the best. I love the Brutal bitter. The IPA is great, very complex with a nice ending.

This is the place to go in Portland for some real ales. They have almost all of the beers they make on tap (~15). Imperial IPA and Stouts were excellent. Big food menu and great service. I was there long enough to see if the cellphone free thing was real. It's not. How you gonna stop a hot babe with her chiseled doofus boyfriend from taking a cellphone call. Get real. No one stopped them. They know that these people give the joint atmosphere. They probably would enforce it on some dork like me though.

Completely unpretentious atmosphere with dozens of award-winning beers on tap. The Brutal Bitter is the local favorite and is a little slice of heaven for any true beer drinker. Rogue is my personal watering hole whenever I'm on the Oregon Coast.

Too bad Portland Brewing moved out of this great space. Mickey Finns did a nice job on food when they took over the space, but their beer offerings were nothing exciting. Rogue is slinging some nice beers at this spot, but might want to consider hiring away Micky Finn's chef so they can round out their food offerings. A worthy stop for the beers and OK stop for pub grub.
