The beer selection is terrific, the food is delicious. The owner & brewmaster are both very friendly & hard-working. I haven't met any of the staff that were less than pleasant during any of our visits.
I think Jodi's experience must have been an aberration. It's unfortunate. My husband & I definitely qualify as middle-agers & we've never had anything approaching her description.

I don't know if we just went on a bad night but this was the absolute worst place I have ever eaten. We had to wait for 45 minutes for a table even though there were several tables that needed cleaned. We waited another 15 minutes for service and then received a burger that was so burned it was inedible and about a tablespoon of bean dip that was supposed to be an entire entree.
It was almost laughable. Our drinks were never refilled and the waitress nearly threw our bill at us as she passed by.
We were a party of five and all of us agreed that we will never go back. I believe this little bar is geared toward a very young crowd and us mid-age folks simply didn't fall very high on their welcome list.
Shame. We spend more money. ;)

They only had 3 beers on draft when we stopped in, the Scotch Ale, Rasberry Wheat, and Paw Paw Ale. They were all great. I am only disappointed in the available selection. Liked to atmosphere here- we didn't eat but they had a great menu. I will be going back to taste some of their other beers, without a doubt.

I visited on 9-9-06. I was disappointed that they didn't have anything darker than the English Mild. The IPA was very drinkable, hoppy but not overpowering as some I've tried. I will return again some time to give this place another try.

I really like this place. Brewmaster Kelly really has it together. I am glad he finally convince people to let him do a pale ale. All beers are great and a wonderful selection of them. Always worth the stop.

Stopped by for a Saturday lunch. I ordered the pale ale and was warned by the waiter that he found it "pretty hoppy." Of course this meant I ordered it. It was very fresh and hoppy. I took a growler home because I needed one for yeast starter.
The create your own pasta was excellent and the soup was good. This place is always worth a stop when in Marietta.

This is a very nice little brewpub in a beautiful old antibellum town on the Ohio river...if you're visiting for a little while, make sure to stay at the Lafayette Hotel and take a good long stroll around town. The brewpub is housed in an old storefront, with the brewing equipment right in the window. Lovely long copper bar, airy yet intimate enough seating. Beer is all decent, with the Scotch Ale worth a trip, and food is fine. This place doesn't knock my socks off, but it's amazingly good for a small-town brewpub in an area not exactly known for sophisticated tastes.

The night we were in there apparently there were not enough waitresses on staff. Kind of slow on refilling brews. Other than that which may have been a isolated incident the beer was spectacular the wheat was SPECTACULAR !! and pale ale also exquisite !!

Great selection! This place is pretty cool. Good selection, and cool atmosphere. They did a good job refurbishing this old store front on the main drag of Marietta. Good bands at night - definitely will be back!
