I arrived about 9pm as the place was closing down. The hours were "when the last customer leaves". I had driven 10 hr from Oklahoma to go to the brewpub. The service was lousy at best. There was not attempt of acomadation at all. NO beer, not growler nothing.

roughneck red is to die for, crude oil stout is really good and the blonde is really good, the porter was great and they do some seasonals as well, the point is, for such a small, middle of nowhere town, it has a fabulous brewpub, i've had a few of the food items, as well and find the food pretty dang good too.....if you are around carlsbad caverns, roswell(aliens) or ruidoso(skiing or gambling) it is a must do brewery...the only one for probably 350 miles diameter anyway...i have not found an amber or red to beat this one!

I've stopped here a few times since the place opened and the beer just keeps getting better! The food has always been good but the beer has finally been tweeked to make it a great place to stop. My wife hates to hear that since now I'm going to have to stop there every time I get near! I only had the Pale Ale yesterday but the hop level was just what I think a good Pale Ale should be... very tasty indeed. Like Arnold says "I'll be back!".

Passing through in the middle of the day, I found the staff very friendly and restaurant clean and pleasant. Their Roughneck Red was very tasty and thirst quenching. The kids enjoyed the root beer, too.

the kolsch, pale ale, blonde were all very good. the food was good with good prices. If you are travelling through this area make sure you stop here.

We had a nice time here. The beers were all clean and tasty, the food was also very good. There was a really nice woman in the resturant( me thinks she is the manager). She told us all kinds of great tales. Liker the others said, if your going through Artesia, The Wellhead is a must.
