Stopped by last week (Wed, Aug 15th). I was hoping for a tour of the brewery, but did not get to. Still, it was worth the trip. We did get to go into the tasting room and tried a couple of their beers.
The nut brown was very nice, although I have had better. The summer ale was an excellent seasonal, right up there with Sam Adam's summer ale.
It was good enough to take a sampler 6-pack home. I tried a couple last night. The golden ale was very nice, with an excellent aroma, color, and taste. I also have to agree with about everyone else on here that's reviewed St. George's, the porter was absolutely terrific! I'm hoping they can start exporting to WV sometime soon.

Brewer near Langley Research Center. If I worked at LaRC I would stop by each day, especially with their extended hours. Committed to traditional brews. Didn't find anything I didn't like. Unique handmade taps for sale.

If you are ever in the Hampton Roads area, visit this micro----ask for Conor, one of the owners---We visited recently while I was visiting family in the area, and Conor gave us tastes of all his wonderful brews, and I took a tour of the brewery--- MY favorite was his IPA, others in the family liked his porter the best----I brought some bottles back home to taste test with friends-----A REALLY AWEsOME MICRO with some AWESOME brews---I understand that St George is now the official brewer for Colonial Williamsburg, and if you order a brew in one of the Colonial Wmsbg pubs, it will be a St. George product!!! NICE!!!!! Bill Ahlman Grapevine, Texas

St George makes some fine British Style Ales. Now that I have moved to the Hampton Roads area they are my "local" brewery.

Their IPA (and Porter) is now available in Bottles - I found some in N. Virginia. I have had their Porter on-tap in the Hampton area and it was good.

Their flagship brand is an excellent IPA that's more of a traditional English-style beer than a "beat you over the head with lotsa hops" American-style.
It's also should be noted that the address shown here isn't correct; their original brewery burned down on Christmas Eve 2000 and they've relocated to:
204 Challenger Way Hampton, VA 23666 (757) 865-7781
