Beer Quality Beer Selection Food Service Overall
Great Awesome! Good Awesome! Great
Visited this establishment last week while in town on business. First, the barmaid, Kim, was excellent. On top of everything else she was very friendly, which is a rarity in SoCal. the food was good/fair. They serve only pizzas and sandwiches, but that is not why I stopped in. It is the beer that was truly surprising, and very good. There was an outstanding selection on tap during my visit. I attempted to taste as many as possible, considering I had a client meeting the next morning. Nut Brown - excellent, very tasty. Poor Richards Old Ale (6.7%) - very, very good; smooth and extremely drinkable. Brown Sugar Lager - Schwarzbier, too sweet, and light in color and body. Stout - one of the best stouts I've had on the west coast, smmoth with a great chocolaty malt flavor, nice malt after tone and dry finish. Hopness Monster Double IPA (8.2%) - very hoppy but with a good hop aftertaste, not too dry but a bit sweet. All-in-all come for the beer, it is worth it. Other then the food, the only other issue that may turn people off is the atmosphere, not quite sure how to exactly describe it: a cross between diner, strip mall restaurant, and bar.

Some pretty good beers, though waaay too cold, they are pretty flavorful once they warm up (). Great pizza. Nice little patio.
