I disagree with the former commentary about the Oven, especially in comparison to other Indian dining establishments in Lincoln. They are more or less the same as far as quality of food. The menus are for the most part identical, except for the Taj Mahal, which provides a nice vegan menu. Soup and sald are completely identical, and as far as tates goes for main entrees, there lack very few differences.

It's strange to me that anyone could find a problem with Yia Yias. They have the best beer selection in the city and reasonably priced. We're talking imports from Shelton Bros., MdV, and V&D - Belgium, Germany, Eastern Europe. You can peruse the beer list or look over the bar at the glass fronted coolers and make your selection. They also have around ten taps with mostly interesting beer (Anchor Xmas, regional NE beers, etc.). The building is an old high ceiling brick sliver with an old back bar, pool in the back. Low key and friendly. The pizza is fabulous. You simply step up to the counter under where a large sign says ORDER and order up anything from a custom slice to a full pie. Excellent thin crust! I have the blue cheese and walnut slice and my friend had a custom vegan slice, no problems. For those detractors from Lincoln I would say, get out and travel a little bit. There are far bigger cities with lesser beer selections and no comparable pizza. Get a grip, this place is fabulous.

This is basically a self-serve restaurant and bar, so it's not the best place for a relaxing time. The pizza and bread are good and you can custom build, which is nice. I'm not a fan of the thin crust but I still like their pizza.
The beer selection is incredible, just be sure you know what you want when you get to the counter, there is no easy way to peruse the selections.

The Oven is a great place to get a Lassi with a date in the evening (ie. dark, romantic) however, the food kind of sucks and it's overpriced. You'd do much better for Indian food at the Sheree Punjab on 16th and Q.

Located on the main drag through town, just a few blocks from the UNL campus, Yia-Yias looks a lot like any other student pizza place. They serve pizza by the slice or by the pie. Service is reasonably fast, but you have to order and pick up at the counter - there is no wait staff. The pizza is unremarkable, but decent. What really sets Yiayias apart is their beer selection. Theres is long row of refrigerated cases behind the bar that hold a vast number of bottled microbrews and imports. If the beer distributors sell it in Nebraska, Yia-Yias probably has at least one bottle of it. They have a better selection of lambics than my favorite liquor store! The only problem is that while the beers are grouped by style and/or country, since they are on the back wall behind the bar, you have to lean over the bar and squint through the glass fronts of the cases to determine what they have in stock. The counter staff are helpful and know their stuff, but they get busy and can't always help you make your selection. At the very least, a beer menu would be helpful.
The bottom line: Yia-Yias is the closest thing that Lincoln has to a tap room. Go there for the beer.
