It is what you expect from a chain restaurant. Lots of potential, with no realization of it. If you want to go to an Irish Pub, go to Ireland, If you want an Irish Themed Applebees come to the Claddagh.

We have eaten there twice and been pleased with the food & service. I personally prefer the Irish Wiskey to beer, which is excellent :). Highly recommend for a fun place to dine!!

Actually overheard the manager use vulgar and demeaning language with a female customer. It turned my stomach the way this woman was treated and ruined my night out. I certainly didn’t expect that kind of language and behavior in an establishment that appears to be trying to be people friendly.

Certainly better than the Dubliner, and atmosphere was genuine, but the service and beer selection left a lot to be desired, compared, for example to the Cock and Bull

This Claddagh (it is part of a national chain)is located in the Newport on the Levee entertainment/shopping complex. The usual architectural touches found in Irish-themed places are here (dark wood, screens, fireplace) to help give the proper atmosphere. The nicest place to drink is outside, though, as the patio offers a nice view of the river and Cincy skyline. Sevice is ok, better at the bar than at a table. Claddagh is in a high rent, high traffic complex, with high prices to match. There are friendlier, less expensive, and more authentic Irish places to go in the Cincinnati area.
