For those of you passing through the area, Bohemian is not far off the freeway. I tried all of the brews on tap, except the Vienna Lager. All were great, but the selection was a bit limited. They had a chocolate bock on tap, but I just couldn't warm up to it. The food was also great, well worth a stop. I was less than impressed with the server's knoweldge of the beer(although there were no other problems with the service otherwise). I would recommend Bohemian if you are looking for great food and beer. I did take home a 12 pack of Czech Pilsener.

Lived in Europe for 4 years, the Pilsner is BEST I've tasted in the USA. Very good Bock and Vienna Lager too. Food very good European flair also good pizza choices.

Truly European style brews. The pilsner is among the best in the USA, Outstanding! Excellent lager and bock too. Also great place to dine from pub fare to a wide and varied menu.

Just as others mentioned, there were four beers available: a wheat, a Vienna lager, a Czech pilsener, and a bock. I normally leave the tasting up to your tastebuds, but I found the wheat to be a little on the watery side. Maybe it just didn't hit the spot because it's cold outside. Otherwise, I enjoyed the other three beers, with the bock being my favourite of the bunch (and the bock is really good with the bread they provide with your meal!). I paired these with a nice lunch of brats and pierogies, which were rather tasty, and hats off to our waitress for bring back another basket of bread after I commented about the pairing of it with the bock. I didn't notice a hamster, and found the place to be fairly clean, with a nice German/Czech decor that wasn't too cheesy. As this place is not far from where my in-laws live, I may be a frequent flyer when I visit.

Visited in June 2003 -- a suburban attempt at a Bavarian gasthaus, which doesn't quite work here. The beer was OK and the food was pretty good, though, so that's all that matters. It's an OK place ... nothing more, nothing less.

This is a very nice brewpub located in the South-Valley (Midvale) area. Very easy access and OPEN SUNDAY! $2 pints on Sunday! The selection is ok, but I think they need one or two more types of beer. Waitresses are HOTIES too. Highly recommend this place!

This is a great cultural phenomenon for Salt Lake. Real European Lagers! Their Weiss is great in the summer. The Pilsner was amazing for Utah beer. Very close to the real Czech deal. My favorite was the Viennese lager. Reddish colored and too easy to drink. My girlfriend loved their Cherny (black in Czech) single Bock. Our dinner was amazing! Some great food. The appetizers where great too. A very interesting place with great decorations. I'll be back this winter when ski season starts for sure!

Good atmosphere with excellent food. A little disturbing though is the Hamster aroma in the bar area due to the pet Hamster in the office down the hall. Their wheat beer is called a Hefe-weizen but I was told it is really a Czek style wheat rye ale. Stick with the lagers.
