This is a nice bar with a nice variety of beer and pleasant helpful staff. If you are in this part of the city it is worth a stop. If you are a true beer lover you won't find any mass-produced swill but you won't find anything out on the fringe of the micro world either. If you're in north of the Village you can probably do as well at a few places in that area or a bit more north.

Definitely one of my favorite bars ever. In addition to not carrying the beers that Kirk mentioned, the only light beer they carry is Amstel Light in a bottle. This helps insure that the the crowd there will be made up of quality pug-goers. Besides the great beer on tap and the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the pub food there is great. I've only tried the wings and burger but they've been awesome and the price is right if you hit up the specials. To top it all off, the music selection and volume is on point.

With 30 draft lines and 75 or so bottles to choose from Croxley Ales will have something for everyone to enjoy. I was especially impressed by the knowledgeable bartender who had a great array of suggestions based on my particular tastes. One sticking point though: the beer menu and website both go out of thier way to state that they do NOT carry Bud, Coors or Miller. However, they currently feature Winter's Bourbon Cask Ale, an AB product, on draft. I don't mean to bust them, but false advertising is false advertising. Otherwise, a great spot for a pint.
