Great beer selection for Salt Lake City. Food wasn't too bad. Plus live music. I'll be back. FYI, you need to be a "member" (some Utah law?) but it's only a $5 charge.

I got to the Bayou whenever I am in town because it rocks. I doubt I'll ever make it through their huge list of available brews, but everyone I have had there has been great, and its fun to have so many options. Food is great too. The fries are totally addicting, and I love their turkey burger, and hot wings, and desserts. Great atmosphere with exposed brick walls, etc. Go. You'll like it.

Thank God for the Bayou! This has been a city where Beer and Bud are synonymous. I'm glad to see that this is no longer becoming the case. I've always been a supporter of craft beers and ales, especially those created here in Utah. The Bayou provides for me a cozy enviroment to learn and appriciate brew styles from all over the world. I'm learning to love styles that i've never enjoyed before. With near 200 lables you palet will never get stail. Nice job guys!

Bad food at The Bayou. I was sick for two days straight, fever, vomiting, "ass-piss", headaches, and the chills. I think the cook had Stink hands. So either if you have a stomach of an iron skillet stay away from 645 S. State, The Bayou.

They often run out of some their bottled beers. Atmosphere is great. Servers are usually very friendly... but we found a snoty one last visit.

This bar won the Best Of Salt Lake for the most beer on tap. They also have the MOST beer period. Here is the review from the paper (Salt Lake City Weekly). I also must not that it is a private club, which means you have to pay about $5.00 for a temp membership. "Congratulations, readers, for knowing your beer and your facts. This new downtown jazz club does in fact boast the largest selection of beer at a Utah private club—but that’s probably what you’d expect from Uinta Brewing Company founder Del Vance and Beer Nut owner Mark Alston. The taps run cold and sudsy with 30 different options, any of which is probably perfect for putting out the fire of their Cajun food. And if for some reason they still don’t have what you’re looking for flowing into a glass, chances are pretty good it’s among the 180 bottled beers they also feature. At The Bayou, they have achieved beervana. 645 S. State, 961-8400."
