Stopped in for a sampler. It is served in an interesting metal rack. Unfortunately that was the highlight. None of the beers stood out at all, and tempted me to buy a pint. The server was attentive, but didn't know much about the beers. It has been a while, but my visits to the location near the airport were much more positive.

I visited this brewpub on 3-13-04 and had the following brews; Silver Star Light, Border Land Lager, Cactus Jack Amber, Chihuahua Brown, Rosa's Raspberry & Wheat. The sample round was served in shot glasses.

I had never tried the Westside location of Jaxons, so last monday my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try.
I ordered a Heffeweissen, which tasted nothing like a good heffe should, and it was filtered to boot! WRONG!!!! I spent 2 years in Europe/Germany while in the Army, and I know what a good heffeweissen should taste like.
I also ordered a Black Jack burger on sourdough bread. The burger was rather bland, needing a lot of salt & pepper to wake up. Also, the burger came on a regular kaiser roll, not sourdough bread. When I told this to the waitress, she brought the host over & he apologised to me for the problem. Then they fetched the manager out of the back and he proceded to debate with me that it really WAS sourdough rolls that they had made for them. If this was sourdough bread, Im King-Kong. Good customer service IS NOT debating with and brow-beating your customers when one of your staff makes a mistake. I will never visit this brewery again.

Visited Jaxon's (and its sister brewpub on the other side of town) during a recent business trip to El Paso. Both brewpubs are very nice with a variety of menu items to choose from. Nice decor. Could not talk to the brewmeister during either visit. Both had a nice selection of beers. Their Mexican Lagar with a lime was very good.
