Stumbled on this pub by chance, and what a find! A welcoming pub atmosphere, terrific seating and "people watching" opportunity in crisp air conditioned comfort (which you'll really appreciate once you sample Savannah's humidity), plus superb soups and salad plates. And the brews on tap are teeth-chattering cold. PLUS, for you movie buffs, this is the setting for the scene in "Something to Talk About" when Julia Roberts discovers her husband Dennis Quaid is snarking with another woman - perfect!

Good selection of foreign and domestic craft beers and ales, but when in Georgia, try the Sweetwater. Alas, the only one on tap was the pale ale, which was enjoyable. My favorite Sweetwater, the Georgia Brown Ale, is available in bottles. I recommend they add another tap. Best thing about the place is the authentic pub atmosphere and the service. We were mildly hungry, so my son and I got the burger. Respectable, nothing exceptional. My girlfriend got the corn and shrimp soup, what we would call a bisque in Louisiana, which was flavorful but had only one shrimp in it. I'll try something different when I'm hungrier.

We visited the Six Pence on our honeymoon and it started us off on a pub crawl tour we hadn't planned on, as we had such a great time! The food was superb-when they tell you a dish will feed tow people, they mean it! The pot pie was excellent with the perfect ale! Dessert at a pub? Try the eclair that will feed 3 then tell me it doesnt go! The staff was super friendly and all their recommendations were right on the mark! As long as it's open, we'll always go back when we're in Savannah!
