I went here a few months ago with a cooworker for lunch. I don't think the wait staff understands that folks need to eat and get back to work. They were disorganized, the food was not note worthy, the location is handy, but the atmosphere is my favorite part- cozy. So if you want bland food that you have to beg for in a pretty restaurant, this is the spot!

I went for lunch and oreder Their Grill Chicken Brushetta Wrap with Pesto Mayo. The Grill chicken was cold and tasteless just like the kind that you get from a can. I could had ate the wrap just with the bruchetta tomatoes, lettuce and pesto mayo on the wrap.

The Elephant serves up a lot of good beer in a british setting. The bar staff is top notch and knows how to pour. Several of the darks and hand pumped and Guinness is on draft. A great place for business professionals. The food is also noteworthy with real chips being offered with the fish and chips. The location is handy as well. About a block south of a metro stop. Go and visit the Elephant.

Been twice since my last reviews, Still the only place to get 3 kinds of fullers on tap. Have allways looked forward to the Butterscotch flavor of a fresh London Porter on tap, after talking with a Beer geek friend of mine, He says Buttery or Butterscotch flavors are a sign of oxidation. I enjoy it anyway.

Beer selection was good, but the fish and chips were soggy. The waitstaff was friendly but disorganized and inefficient.

Looking at these recent reviews served to remind me that I visited this place in May and never entered my notes for E&C (My apologies for the late - yet honest review) Here goes: E&C is a Canadian chains of faux British pubs. I have visited several of their locations (Chicago, Philadelphia & Seattle, the latter of which I have a posted review); they are basically the same though do offer local micros dependent on the region of location, for example, this location, in addition to the aforementioned Fuller, offers 23 taps that include Old Dominion Hop Pocket and Allagash (Maine). This E&C sits in the middle of the DC Tourist Jungle on Pennsylvania Avenue. I am gratified for the fact that it does offer Fuller's, one of my personal favorites. Hope this helps....Cheers!
