Really good flavor. Picked up a small keg for my family get together. (They like beer but not sure I wanted to have stale leftover the next morning). Two hours after tapping my Brother-in-law told me the keg was broke (nothing coming out). Upon checking the keg the "broke" part was that the keg was "empty". Wonder was part was broke? Hats off to Omar and Todd for providing a great local beer with an equally great flavor. From a home brewer who likes to try different things this beer is a pleasant surprise. Check it out! You won't be disappointed. (btw - the first batch was brewed on my BD. How about that for something to remember.)

I was very impressed with their initial offerings. The Bender had a nice malty flavor and finish. The Furious had very nice hop bitterness. They are just getting started and were offering samples at Old Chicago Uptown. Good enough to purchase two more glasses. They will be opening up the brewery for tours next month. Definitely worth checking them out. I only rate them as good because it is an average between the beer quality and the limited initial offerings.

Surley brewing just opened. Surley beer is already available at over a dozen local bars and restaurants and the number keeps growing weekly. They currently offer 2 beers. Bender which is an amalgamation of styles; brown/porter/apa. Furious which is an American IPA. Very hoppy with a great crisp taste. Todd Haug (former brewer at Rock Bottom in Minneapolis) is the head brewer for Surley. These 2 beers are both excellent and we can't wait to see what Surley comes out with next. Here's to Todd and Omar!
