Used to be fantastic place up until a couple of months ago. The food was absolutelty FABULOUS, and then all of a sudden the quality of the food went waaaaaay south. Then the prices started to go up. Then the local crowd started disappearing. So much so that where afternoons had once been a fun group of off work Brits were now merely a hole-in-the-wall local barfly clientele. I finally learned that the pub had been sold, and the new owners were "making improvements". Unfortunately the improvements have, in my opinion, dramatically hurt this establishment. I will certainly not go back unless I hear that they've put a lot of things back that they took/chased away - namely, #1-the food, and #2-the locals.

It's the closest thing to an English country pub I've found in the States. Low ceilings with exposed wood beams, a fireplace, football on tv, and a red phone booth out front. The bar area is small, so it gets crowded easily and that can make getting served a bit of a chore. But there's ample room in the back where they've laid out a wonderful dining area/beer garden with a huge waterfountain. It's great for a lunch with the family or even a romantic dinner. The food is quite good and not too expensive. With Tetley's on hand, I felt I was back at the Wensleydale Heifer in North Yorkshire again!
