India Garden has been serving delicious northern Indian food to Pittsburgh for as long as I can remember. With it's convienent location (within Pitt housing area - in Oakland near all of the Oakland hospitals and Carnegie Museum) low prices (half priced food after 10PM) and now micro brewed draft beer selection India Garden remains one the best places to eat in Pittsburgh.
Open on Easter and on Thanksgiving and probably on every other holiday, India Garden in an oasis for travelers and the non-Christian holiday observers among us.
Very large menu with somethings for everyone. Often available buffet (lunch time and Sunday dinner).
Now on tap at India Garden: New Castle, Sierra Nevada, Erie Red Ryder, Victory Hop Devil, Troegnator, Great Lake's Elliot Ness, Dogfish 60 Minute IPA, Arrogant Bastard, Woodchuch Draft Cider, Hoegaarden, Boddington's and Guinness.
Saturday and Sunday draft beer specials are pretty good with $2.50 Boddington's or Guiness pints and on Sunday $2 Dogfish Head or Great Lake pints.
