The Speakeasy has been around for several years but just found out about them last week. They will be the official tasting room for Coop Ale Works, an outstanding microbrewery located next door that opens next week. The Speakeasy is a 1903 house converted into a meighborhood-style pub with a prohibition "speakeasy" atmosphere. They have a nice selection of microbrew beers on draft (including Hercules Double IPA for the hopheads) and a nice selection of bar food and sandwiches. We had the calamari and beef nachos (excellent) and a couple of pints from their draft beer selection. Fresh pulls with no beer line flavor. The service was outstanding. The owner, Kevin, is usually on premise and oversees that the customer is satisfied. Definately a great find and will become a regular for my wife and I.
