Ate dinner on Saturday evening 29 Mar 2003. Everything was great!!! except maitre d. White female, overweight, blond hair, spoke German/English. She did indulge in dessert while working. A large piece of cake. Not once did she approach our table to see how our meal was. Our waiter was Sergie who was GREAT. I hate to say it but the maitre d is typical of German waiters/etc/ in Germany. No personality. I lived in Germany for 4 years, I am an American and obviously the love for American's is over. Sorry to say it.

Sergei, don't know if I spelled it right is great. Hostess who escorted us to table no personality!!!! She is a white female w/blond hair obese. She must be new or owes the place. Is there a new owner @Cafe Berlin? I hate to say this but the restaurant is like restaurants in Berlin, no personality. Very low key.

A must for the Paulaner Hefeweizen and Bitburger Pils served in proper German glasses...if you like good authentic German bier, check this out. We were dismayed that we could not order from the light fare menu on a quiet Sunday evening outdoors on the patio...therefore did not sample the food. Server was dour but the bartender was more friendly. But the quality of the bier outweighed this. (Diet Coke was oily and a tad unappetizing designated drivers have to drink too.)

Two German beers on tap, and they know how to serve them! The place is very cosy in Winter, and the patio an excellent place to while away a summer evening. Best German food in town.
