Nice brewpub with that "local" feel. Covers the range of beer styles, with staying towards middle road on all except the wheat. raspberry i did not try, but they have a ginger that is palatable. Also, noteworthy is the Doolies dark ale. Not as sweet as an amber, good session beer. They tout the Hippieshake as a BIG ale, but i didnt find it to be. An ok, ipa, malt ok, hops lacking a bit for my tastes. The pale ale was out??? even the bartender was surprised...said he has never heard of em running out of that. Looks like a great place to stop on the way back from skiing.

Since the change from Harrison Hollow to Highlands Hollow a couple of years ago things have just gotten better. The beer is clean, crisp and just down right great since Jim Fishwild has stepped back in as brewmaster. The food is top notch with Mike Stevens running the kitchen, and most of the original staff is still there giving great and friendly service. They've added a deck out front which is really nice in the warmer months, the fireplace is an added treat in the winter to warm up to when your done sking.

The Beer is good and crisp. Perfect after an awsome day of skiing or kicking back on the deck for a beautiful summer evening. The food is absolutely purfect pub cuisine with a wide range of menu items to choose from. The chef, (Mike Stevens) is first rate. The decore is slightly excentric and dark with a wonderfull round fire place in the middle of the restaurant for that purfect after skiing warmth, but I recomend the deck for the summer.

The beer formerly known as Western Ale (now Dooley's?) is one of the best beers in the world. Spicy, malty, rich, yum! Get ya some! And I know what I'm on about; I live in Portland, home of the world's very best beers.

THis brewery is under new management and doesn't currently brew their own. I talked with the brewmaster and he is hoping to be up and running in a month or so. They do have some good local and NW brews on tap, so they are good for a beer. I didn't try the food. It is a farly small place, but had lots of patrons who seemed to be enjoying the food. So keep your eyes and ears out for this place once they begin brewing their own, it will be the place to be.

Did not have alot on tap the day I was there. The Ginger Wheat was interesting and the amber ale was good. Friendly place to visit.

Several pretty good beers, a very good staff, and tasty food. However, it's a no-smoking establishment, which is either good or bad depending on whether you're a smoker or not. (Being one, I found that annoying.)

Living in the North End of Boise, I have been a regular at Harrison Hollow for many years. I have always been impressed by the quality of the food for the money and the beer. Harrison Hollow always has a beer for every taste and when I'm there I feel at home and welcome. My only gripe is the decor. They could use a facelift to brighten up the place and a deck for summer dining would great. I have never been disappointed with Harrison Hollow and will continue to be a loyal customer.

Harrison Hollow represents the best of Boise, and of the Northwest. The atmosphere is casual and fun, the staff is smart, friendly, and is honestly happy that you're there, and the food is excellent (and cheap!). Not to mention that the beer is first-rate, with a selection for everyone.
If you're pub-hopping in Boise -- or in Idaho -- you owe it to yourself to spend an evening, or two, at Harrison Hollow.

For many Boiseans, but particularly skiers, mountain bikers, and northenders (people who live on the "hip" north side of town), Harrison Hollow is a favorite hangout. (It's located on the way into town on the way back from a day of skiing or biking). The beer is really good and the food is terrific (try the polenta with black beans and guacamole or the pan fried oysters).

Very friendly staff could not overcome mediocre beer. Skip this one and head for Table Rock instead.
