So, I rated everything as "lousy!" Maybe that will help warn others checking this site. Here's my story: I went on a quick 2-day trip to Baltimore. Before I left I printed out a list of sites worth visiting, based on scores from our own dear PubCrawler! This "joint" had a rating over 80 points - that should have been a "can't miss!" When I got to my hotel room they had a booklet of coupons that you could use to "enhance" your stay in the Inner Harbor ("Harbor Magic - Feel it!" - well, I did, but it wasn't magic!). Sure enough, there's one in there for this "joint" that says, "One FREE draft with any entree." So, as we're making our plans to go out, why not do this - a "recommended" place to go (PubCrawler) AND I'll get the first beer "free." When we were greeted and seated (by the way, my wife is in a wheelchair and they are NOT handicap accessible), I presented my "coupon" and was prepared to order my first draft while we looked over the menu. I should add that there were three of us and we were all looking forward to a progressive beer menu as well as some good, local food (something to do with crabs!). The waitress told me that they were not honoring the coupons. I asked why and she said she wasn't sure but she'd check. When she returned and again said that they would not honor it I asked to speak to the manager. I was smiling, we did start to order, but I really did want to press my case: *I was here because of your very good reviews from the PubCrawler. *I made my decision to go to this place based on the reviews (which I had taken the time to research) AND the extra incentive of the coupon. *I was in town after traveling hundreds of miles - and out of all of the places that I COULD go to (see "BALTIMORE" in the search section!) I elected to go to this "joint." These points were all made to the manager when he did arrive at my table. He said that no matter, they were not honoring the coupons and that he had told the hotel that they would not do so. So, I said, "Forget the coupon, I'm here after a long trip, and I'm here because I like good beer, and I'm here because you had a great rating at Pubcrawler." He said, "Well, we're glad you're are here, but I am not going to buy you a beer." So, I am back at home, having a wonderful beer from a different state and hoping that the manager who would not "buy" a beer for a weary traveler (we DID stay and the "bill" was over $60) will serve the rest of his life having to drink those beers that change colors when they are ready - that's the least that he deserves. I sincerely feel that this place, and manager, is NOT worthy of support from other PubCrawler visitors. It's NOT that he wouldn't give me a "free" beer - it is the lack of appreciation of finding a good beer - and a good place to share them. If you can't appreciate those kinds of customers - well, perhaps you don't deserve those kinds of customers. PS: After the meal, we agreed that we would have spent more time there - as well as gone back again the next day - BUT WE DID NOT.

A famous Fells Point watering hole that defies a definitive describtion - although dive/sports bar with a combination of your grandfater's garage might fit. In any case, a comfortable corner bar (across the street from DuClaws (see my review)) that offers a decent selection of local micros along with very good wings. An atmospheric tavern for locals, though everyone is welcome. No FP pubcrawl could be completed without a stop at Dudas' Tavern.

Strong but not huge draft beer selection and enough turn-over to keep it all fresh. Food is tough to beat - Chili Melt, mussels, burgers and any of the specials. Service is perfect.

I make it to Fells Point 3-4 times a year and I always make it a point stop in a get a bite to eat and a couple beers. The service is always good as is the food......A great place to go.

Directly across from the new DuClaw location. However, especially if they don't have any seasonals there, save some space for a few beers at Duda's. 16 taps, and 25 or so bottles with a varied selection of micros, imports, and the big boys. Was warned about "the atmosphere" here by some who were across the street. I guess they meant a friendly crowd and helpful servers. (Watch out!) A real "corner bar"; I could see myself spending WAY too much time here if I were local.

Just had a visit on 2/7/04 with 3 friends. My first visit to Fells Point. We found Duda's at the western end of Thames street, which put it about a mile from the inner harbor area, not a bad walk.
The selection of beer was well above average, with maybe about 12 total to choose from. Standouts were Boddingtons on tap along with maybe 3 seasonal brews. We all had a few beers of various sorts and there were no complaints. We had a round of raw oysters which were very good. I ordered a burger w/ blue cheese, and got a large burger with a heaping mound of mostly melted blue cheese on top. Just fantastic. The blackened catfish and crabcakes also were enjoyed by my friends.

I was real happy to finally get to Duda's. I like the feel of the place, the location, the building, the service, and the beers were excellent. Max's has more beers, no doubt, and even better ones, but Duda's would be the place I'd rather hang out: somewhat older crowd, with nothing to prove. I heard the food's great, didn't have any. Very comfortable place.

Great micro and craft-brewed beer and excellent pub food served in an unpretentious atmosphere by friendly bar staff. Buck the bartender is a born barman, and there's more hot sauce available than I've ever seen to go on the free pretzels. Go visit but keep it a secret!

In an area glutted with rustic pubs and beer joints - this place stands above the rest...
beer and food served with style, class, and just enough attitude to let you know you're in a workin' class town!!!

They had 8 to 10 local and national microbrew winter seasonals on tap, as well as 4 superb imports. Who could ask for more. Less smoke would have been nice. This visit brought back memories of when Duda's used to be a "Colt's Corral" and serve what I thought was the greatest local beer - National Premium Dark on tap.

Nice, intimate pub that truly resembles the corner pub in northern England. Pub grub is excellent, and the beer selection, bottled and draught, is worth checking out. If this place weren't surrounded by beer bars, it would be an epic landmark.
