Worth a stop if the (semingly continuous) music they offer is to your liking. As far as a beer place, well, that's another thing. Gets by on past reputation, music, and "all you can drink specials".

Very disappointing. I went here expecting a historic saloon, I found a swill bar with a cover charge, loud music, and a real frat-house look to it. Not on my return list.

As noted often, not a particularly great beer selection. However, it is a place to begin, continue or end the party - it has become a Fells Point institution - that's saying something!

As stated in other reviews...not a beer haven, but the bands there are always good. Have been there twice in the evening and its always a good time.

I went there on Thursday night(6/13/02) and they had a $10 "all you can drink" offer. The bar was filled within an hour with 20-27 year olds, the band was very good and the bartender,Pepper, never let our glasses sit empty. A Great Time!

It was here that I first tasted a non "Big Three" beer - Ayngier Brau Weiss - and I've been hooked ever since. Haven't been there in 8 years, but remember it was a cool place to start a Fell's Point Pub Crawl...//TSB

A few friends and I stopped by (as a suggestion) after visiting Max's. I was very disappointed in the limited taps and especially, that the tap selection was the usual "Big 3." The micro bottle selection was also limited and was nothing to crow about either. The musician (Saturday evening...acoustic) was very entertaining, but that was about it for the Horse.

Micro lovers take heed! This is not a place to go to drink microbrews. It's a neat old historic tavern that caters to the Coors, Bud, Miller crowd. They have a few imports, but their idea of a micro is Rolling Rock. My advice is to walk around the corner, go north one block and go to Max's

I was under the assumption that a bar listed in his site would have copious draft selections; unfortunately, I was disappointed. The drafts available were only from the 'big three.' Not one local microbrew on draft, which is a travesty, given this establishment's location in Fells Point.

Annie, Pepper, Leo and the gang kick butt. One of the best barstaffs in Baltimore.
Music is always good.

This fabulous pub dates back to the 1700s, although it wasn't always a bar. Dropping in for a brew is a real experience, although a few years ago they remodeled the back section, which took away some of its historical look. The front is so authentic, it's stunning. If you like very old pubs, the Horse is a must when in Baltimore!
