great fun at a downtown location. setup like a german beer hall, long tables to share...so interaction with others good. and the service, well, so attentive to the point of almost being annoying have to answer (is everything ok!!??). but no, it was great every server that walked by would check up on you, not just your initial. beers, standard styles and very drinkable, but none really "out there". brewed an "octoberfest" to go along with their weeks long celebration. quite good. cant say the same for their attempt at german food, edible, but nothing special. nice location to watch sports too...many tvs visible.

Had a bacon cheeseburger which was pretty good.
Hophead was a tasty IPA that's a little sweeter than I'm used to but was very good.
Liked the Copperhead better.
Friendly bartender and great service. Enjoyed my beers and watched the end of the tour de france

Well it didnt start off well, we got there, ordered our drinks and our waitress decided she was done with her shift. So after about 10 min with no drinks, we were getting up to leave and a waitress named Jamie saved the day. She was very nice and comp'd us 2 free beers. The beers were pretty average, nothing great but not bad. The food made up for the average beer. I had the cedar plank smoked salmon. It was awesome. As were the clams we had for an appetiser. The beer didnt leave a lasting impression but the food sure did. I will definitely stop back in when I pass through again. And hopefully Jamie will be our waitress

I only just stopped in for lunch on my way to the airport. I had the Scottish ale and it was fantastic. It looked like they had a pretty good selection of beers and the atmosphere was nice. My waitress was relatively knowledgeable on their beers even though she said she wasn't much of a beer drinker. I wish I had been working in Boise(I was working in Nampa) so I could have given this a little more time and tried a few more beers, but if I ever get back there for work, I will definately hang out there.

This restaurant has become a family favorite. My daughter loves going for the floats the girls make her! The beer and the selection of beer is amazing. I like the lighter and my husband likes the darker. Walking through the facility and through the brewery was great fun. The service is always outstanding and consistant. Mike has a great establishment with a wonderful staff.

Luckey for Boise, 4 brewpubs and all good, but TableRock is my preference. Agreed. the ambiance is weird...just what is the theme here? Look one direction in the bar area and seems to be a sports bar, tvs, pine paneling, long standup tables, kindof a metro feel, then turn and look towards the restaurant seating and resembles a french bistro...so maybe the menu holds the clue...nope, we find steaks and mexican and italian selections...but the food is well prepared, sizable portions and tasty. But hey, the beer is what it is all about! Local "best of" voted them best beer 7 years running...and i can see why, usually 10 selections on tap, 7 regular and 3 rotating seasonals. i'll pass over the woodpecker light, not my style, not much impact, but a good transition beer for the novice. while not a fan of wheats, i did enjoy the whitebird wheat, not your typical wheat, with overpowering clove and bannana overtones, instead, this is described as an american wheat, but drinks more like a lager. the st andrews amber is an amber, but does justice to the style, if not a bit sweet. the hophead ipa did not kick me in the teeth as expected from an ipa, especially with the name, but with only fuggles and kent goldings, that just won't happen, a pleasantly hopped brew though. so, went for the laughing dog pale ale, described as a nw style pale ale, which to me means loaded with cascades, but alas, not to happen, instead, heavy on the willamettes, but probably one of the best willamette pales i have had, and besides, i am a sucker for any beer named after a dog. ok, ok, i won't drag this out any longer, the hopzilla pleased me greatly! what more can i say, my fav...generous, no, massive amounts of amarillo hops, closely resemble my beloved cascade flavour without the bitter hit...very drinkable and good, and leaves you wanting to drink more. the selection was rounded out with the seasonal "orange blossum", with orange blossum honey (thought that was only in florida!), with some coriander and orange peel thrown in...sounded more like a wit, but drinks more complex, enjoyable for summer. my dessert beer was the weizen cream stoudt...not sure at first just how to describe what i was drinking...it was silky, but lighter than most stoudts, and had a pleasant coffee finish...so had to ask just what the makeup was...turns out that in addition to wheat, there is a combination of six barley malts...nice. dont miss this place while in boise

Recently remodelled. Nicely done but I don't really care for it. Outdoor patio is okay but brewhouse is now hidden behind frosted glass. Beers are not at all what I remember from my last visit. Quality is way down as if they are trying to appeal to the masses rather than making flavorful beers.

On a x-country drive from Indiana to Portland, OR, hit brewpubs in Laramie, WY, and Iowa City, IA, the two nights before. Beer-wise, by far the best of the 3. The pale and the IPA were both quite good. Had a hummous appetizer that was outstanding. The group of regulars (always a good sign) sitting at the bar were really friendly, enjoyed watching the first game of the Sox-Astros WS with them.

I stopped in for a Sunday lunch with friends. We started out with a sampler to get a feel for their beers, and found them to be fine across the board. In particular, the nut brown, stout, and extra hoppy IPA were our favorites. The service did seem a bit lacadaisical, but overall it was a fine place for a meal and beer.

I enjoyed the darker beers, especially the winterfest. The food was usually good, sometimes outstanding and sometimes take-a-bite-and-leave bad. The service was the same: always different faces, sometimes good and sometimes out-and-out worthless. Very mystifying to me.

A nice comfortable place to grab a bite to eat and have a few brews. Their beers aren't particularly noteworthy but none of them were bad. If you were to compare them to Northwest beers they are actually very good. I was not impressed with the northwest beers in general that I tried.

We flew into town and hit this brewery. They were full of patrons dining, so I would imagine the food was good, and that is what I am told. The beers are fair. We had a porter and a nut brown. Neither was outstanding, but they were cold and refreshing. I recommend if you like wheats or ales, this is the place. Enjoy.

I just recently moved to Boise from Portland. I am use to brewpubs with great beer and a atmosphere where you can sit on a couch and relax with friends. Tablerock seems a little to uptight. If anyone has been to a McMenamins in Oregon or Washington, they know how to make a comfortable setting to enjoy beer. Is there anything like that in Boise?

The sampler tray of their beers in 4oz glasses was a great way to try all of them at one time. You can pick and choose which you want or don't want to try.

Seems like the Idaho breweries are out of some of their beers when I was at them. This brewery had a very limited variety. The food was outstanding and the service matched. I will be back the next time I am in town.

Table Rock has decent beer but the service is definitely hit or miss. The atmosphere is too bright and it can get so loud at times it is hard to carry on a conversation. Too yuppie for my taste but it is worth visiting.
