This place is wonderful. Prices are quite reasonable. Food is very good. Service is prompt and friendly without being intrusive. We have eaten lunch there several times in the past year, and new menu items and interesting daily specials make it even better than before.

First, we were the only people (4) in the restaurant at 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night. The food was just awful and the prices were outrageous for the amount and quality of food there was.
This USED to be a fab place before it was sold late last year (2005). Bottom line....don't go if you are expecting the food and quaffs you remember from years ago. THIS IS NOT THE SAME RESTAURANT.
AWFUL.

Fantastic little Belgian restaurant located in the historic village of Occaquan. Was treated here to a wonder birthday dinner last month and the Belgian food and Belgian beers were outstanding. Ownership changed recently but it is nice to know that the new owner knew enough to leave things exactly as they were. Deep selection of bottled Belgian beers with the correct glass ware, served up with authentic Belgian dishes such as carbornade flamade, Waterzooi, and mussels steamed in beer with pomme frites. Prices are a bit steep but all meals are cooked to order in a very cozy and comfortable atmosphere. This place scores high on all marks, and is well worth a visit.

In a word, WOW! A wonderful experience for dining and beer consumption. The beer menu was lengthy, but the detailed descriptions helped even the beer novices with us find something to their liking. Of course, the beer was exquisite. The food was, as well, and our server was attentive, fun and friendly. She even made my 14-month-old son laugh, and it was an hour past his bedtime! Overall, I couldn't recommend this place more if my own family was running it.

What a place! Although not a beer bar, it's a true, European dinner experience in the setting of a quaint house in old town Occoquan. They book the tables only once per night, and they expect you to hang around all evening enjoying their fine food and selection of 60-70 Belgian beers. If you like Belgian beer, you won't regret going out of your way to get here and making an entire night of it!
