Very nice place, although it is NOT A BAR but an old family restaurant. If you are looking to get drunk and stupid don't go there. We had a good dinner and a very pleasant talk with the owner and staff who explained to us all about the old Savannah pictures and WWII news print that cover the walls. This place is more of a "cheers" than a chain of replicated bars as we know them. We will recommend it to all. Kisses to you guys at the Beer Parlor!!!

As SCAD students, we were told by the locals that this place was the "local Best kept secret". Well they were right on the money! 9 of us walked in on a fairly busy Thursday night and were well treated. Our Server was on top of everything. I was reluctant to go after reading the so-so, reviews on pub crawler, but decided to try it after seeing the overall rating. We have now been regulars for a few weeks and find the food to be great and consitant. You can not beat the atmosphere!

CBP used to be an awesome place to eat or drink. The new ownership hasn't been able to match the great crab stew or for that matter how to cook french fries. The service folks are apathetic and the kitchen personnel are "not on board." The atmosphere is there...but rather wasted after one waits and waits and has to resort to getting your own water or physically chasing down someone to get a refill or another beer. It's a shame, really....it used to be such a great experience.

Poor service - torn fake leather booths taped back with clear packaging tape - only three tables occupied at 7:30 on a Saturdy night. Food was okay - waitress forgot to place our appetizer and charged us four dollars for my childs drinks even though it was supposed to be included in his meal. There are much better choices in Savannah. Go to Moon River.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated to almost being inedible.I used to love to go there in the 1980's and 1990's. Sadly, when this establishment was reopened, the food had nothing in common with it's former days.$9.00 for a extremely mediocre cheeseburger with limp greasy fries is not acceptable.

We stumbled upon this quaint historic restaurant and instantly fell in love with the old fashioned atmosphere and large private booths. The food was awsome and regretted buying the cup of crab stew and not the bowl. They have one of the best dixiland bands I've ever heard making the night an incredible experience which I look forward to on my next visit to Savannah.

A group of friends and I saw their float in the Savannah St. Patrick's Day parade and decided to see what all the cheering was about. This Place is not a bar but a great old restaurant. We loved the attention to detail we recieved and the Burgers were the best ever!! Great Atmosphere!!

The only thing this place has going for it is a really cool space and really cool BIG booths. For anyone who might be under the impression that this is a 'beer palace' and not a 'beer parlor,' don't waste your time looking around. The person I was eating with looked at her batter-like crab bisque in the middle of our meal and said, 'if you baked this, it would turn into a biscuit.' The beer was so bad we couldn't even finish it off.

This establishment went bankrupt almost a year ago. It had the best burgers, great beer selection...but 2 poor locations in Historic Savannah. I moved to Savannah a few years back and loved this little joint.
