I went to check out the band so didn't bother with the food. It looked like they had a decent selection of food items. Not great to look at outside but a nice feel inside with a bar area with decent seating for an afternoon. A fairly small stage but nice area for listening to a bad. The first band had a nice mix of funky blues / rock. The second band was a bartender's gift at closing time as everyone left. Nothing extravagant for a beer selection to go out of your way, but if in the neighborhood or the right band is playing, worth stopping by.

This local pub had 11 taps; but, when I visited 2 were out and two were mass market and most of the rest were foaming beyond control of the barmaid. It did seem a nice place, with attractive woodwork and tasteful (beer and rum-wise) decorations. The people were friendly. If you live in the neighborhood, this is a strong candidate for your local pub. If you are visiting New Orleans and would like to see a good, non-touristy pub, this is one. If you are a hard core beer-hunting pubcrawler, there is no reason to visit. It is a bit hard to find, being a block off of Carrollton (the main street)but is right across from a trolly station. It looks a lot more run down from the outside than the inside, as is often the case in New Orleans. No food, but they have live music some evenings.

Carrolton Station is the kind of place you can walk in and immediately feel at home. I try to go there whenever I am in New Orleans.

This is a great neighborhood establishment with a fine selection of regional brews. There is also wonderful music and fun "pinball" type games from the 1950's.

Excellent place for live local music, also, especially when Peter Holsappple (who can be considered the fifth person in R.E.M.)is playing.
