Was happy to find Penny Lane after the relative 'glitz' of the Capital Ale House. Loved the beer there too but this place was much more like a bar than. FRESH Brit Beer (agree with Porter comment in otherreview-Yummy) Brie app was very good and service was prompt. Have recommended to others, will def. go back when in Richmond again.

Have stopped in my last two trips into Richmond. It's a good place for a pint, or if you're so inclined, they do offer a 4-beer flight from their tap selections. You could do a lot worse than sample 3 different Fuller's (the Porter was fantastic!) and a Belhaven while you're having lunch. The place is warm and friendly, but watch out if you try their homemade mustard--diabolical!! It's only a short walk from the Capital Ale House, so if you fancy a bit of a pub crawl, why not start here?

New location--on the corner of 5th and Franklin, "better building, better neighborhood" is what I was told when getting directions. Old building torn down. Still a great place for an English pint (or two) in Richmond.

This is a great place! The owner is rather funny (if you can understand him- thick accent and talks REALLY fast)!
I have been there many times and plan to go back...

This had to be the rudest restaurant I have ever been to. Our waiter had a real attitude problem.

You can walk in to Penny Lane and forget you are in America; or that you are an American. What more could you ask of a pub.
