I frequent your restaurant quite ofter. Today my sister & I were treated very poorly. The waiter was nastr & rude, the food was cold, The water was luke warm. An over-all bad scene!! Trading on the name of their former owner, CopaBanana, this corner bar serves up a short order of sandwiches and burgers. Don't order any TexMex here -- they don't have a clue -- Guacamole is $3 extra!

Took about 10 minutes wait before anyone noticed I needed some service (?), and while I endured the long wait I observed a mediocre beer selection, and a generally not-too-friendly cooler-than-thou staff. In fact, upon meeting my less-than-cordial bar tender, I was told two of the 8 or so taps had "nothing". There was the usual Hop Devil (yawn), Flying Fish ESB (good), Sam Adams Winter (surprise) and a German Winter Ale that niether I nor the uninspired bartender were familiar with. I didn't try the food, and although the sandwiches looked adequate, I will be sure not to return to this place, which seems to appeal to and want the business of locals only.

Good So So Good Lousy So So
I used to come here back in the day when the guy (forget his name) at Monk's ran it. Loved it then, but now there are few Belgians on tap or in bottles (save Stella). Also, the service can be horrible. One day I can in with my cousin to watch some Temple basketball. It's around 12:30PM. We go upstairs and the music is cranking. And understand it's like punk music (I wanna stab my mother music) at 12:30PM. But the game is on with the volume down. I ask can the volume on the game be turned up. The waitress says she'll ask her boss. After some time the volume is still down and I ask again. She responds that turning up the volume of the TV with the music would irritate the other customers. I responded "can we turn the music down?" She says our customers would prefer the music. I look around and there are maybe 8 guys in there between the ages of 30 and 40 years old. I ask each would they rather hear the game or the music. All except one said "game" the other one didn't care. I told the waitress this and she told me that she still wasn't going to turn the music down. We left.

Neighborhood style bar with about a half dozen beers on tap. Had a Victory Hop Devil IPA and it tasted great. Since we only ducked in for a quick beer didn't look at the upstairs. Judging by I what I could see, there was a pretty decent bottle selection as well.

food was good(especially the southern fries). I was expecting more from the beer selection. There was the normal selection on draught and a few really good beers in bottle but nothing you can't find anywhere else.

Tight, intimate, cramped. Good variety; the first beer bar I've seen that marks down slow sellers, which can result in bargains if they're in stock. Distrust the beer menu. Food looks & smells bohemian--and good. Worth a try.

Stopped in on the way to see the Yankees trounce the Orioles at Camden Yards...Fabulous folks- took such good care of me that I almost (should have) stayed at the motel across the street instead of continuing to Balto. As a Belgian beer freak, the tap selection was a delight. As for the food, I'll have to pay better attention to it the next time (when I definitely will stay the night). Oh, and I did make it to Balto (was a tough haul after that particularly enjoyable stopover...). Please e-mail me with beer bar/brew pub info...I travel alot.

They were out of over half the beers on the menu! "Dive" atmosphere. Cramp and disappointing. A "wanna-be" Monk's.

Copa too is a cozy little Belgium pub. Great food ...Excellent brew selection and a real pleasure to visit. Stop in for some "pub grub" and throw back a handful of excellent Belgium brews!....bar service was commendable. Keep up the great work!
