I went here first to see a band play, and again later for the food. The beer selection is amazing, but the service lacked and the BBQ chicken didn't have much BBQ sauce. (Which was odd considering the number of napkins provided and the hand washing sink at the table) Go figure.

I ordered a turkey melt and they gave me a chicken melt(not even on the menu) they said they were out of turkey. Well it would have been nice if they told me, before they served me my food, I would have ordered something different. And did after the fact. Did they think I wasn't going to be able to tell the difference? The grilled cheese I ordered instead was lousy and the cheese wasn't melted. Yuck, I'll never eat there again.

Yagers has a wonderful selection of microbrews to satisfy any beer drinker. The atmosphere is energizing and the food compliments the beer pretty well.

Fish was great, chips were like anywhere else. But the menu was conducive to a beer drinking progresive. As far as beer goes, I was first time Hubsch Brau Marzen and Rogue Dead Guy. Awesome. The Kilt Lifter was great too. The Red Horse Ale started off the evening. It is a local Sacramento brew that was acceptable.
Great place to drink beer in Folsom, Sacramento area. However, when you run out of beer, they do not have a full bar.

Started the evening with Widmer Hefeweizen, then I had an Alaskan Amber Ale, tasted the Hubsch Brau Marzen, the Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Kilt Lifter Scottish Ale. Next I had Descheute's Black Butte Porter and finished off with a Black & Blue. Overall it was a very enjoyable evening. The food was very good and the service was good. This is definately a place to come to again. Only suggestion I have is to do a sampler for those folks that would like to try several of the beers.

Every time I travel to California for vacation this is one of the must go to spots. Excellent beer, food and if you go try to get Christina for a waitress, she's the best.
