I went to the Quincy address and there doesn't seem to be anything there except a "For Rent" sign with no name on any doors. A guy came out and when asked if a brewery was in there gave me a puzzled look and shook his head. Bought the Amber and Extra Pale Ale at a liquor store. The Amber was very malty and a true European quality. The Extra Pale Ale is pleasantly hopped and very good.

This place is a real brewery, located in an industrial district. It appears to have odd hours; we got there at 7pm on a Wednesday and they were closed. No hours were posted on the door. Probably should call before going.

Stopped in last week, my, what good, good beer! James Page is obviously unafraid to brew beer that is good without tons of hops; the Amber Lager is deliciously malty. We also got a taste off the still-lagering Ofest: WOW, what a nice beer, one of the best American Festbiers I've tasted.

Burly Brown is great, as is the Amber. Take the tour, it isn't the prettiest brewery I've ever seen, but last time I went I needed a ride home

Page is definitely the area's rising star. Their pale has now moved in front of Summit's in my book as my local favorite. Availability in cans (even though it's contracted out) for the amber and pale is great--golfing, camping, etc. Sounds like they've raised enough $ to get their own bottling line going too. My only disappointment is that they can't/won't brew a hefeweizen as the brew equipment can't hack the wheat malt's gooey-ness. Best tasting policy for a brewery tour that I've experienced. Things should only get better...

James Page has improved dramatically over the last two years that I have visited their brewery tours (1st & 3rd Sat/mo at Noon). Page microbrews their bier with German traditional methods.
Currently their keg Portage Pilsner is excellent, generously hopped, krisp, clean, and aged specially long with their new lagering tanks. My friends and I think it rivals Schell's Pils on tap, which is MN's flagship Pilsner. Getting mighty close to Sam Adams' Boston Lager on tap.
On the otherhand, Page's Oktoberfest on tap was a disappointment, too sweet, feminine, too mellow.
We also enjoy their tap Amber Lager (flagship), two ales Kolsch Klassic and Burly Brown.
Tastings are now quite generous. Brewmaster, Jim Hoeft, is a riot to talk to and munch barley malt like popcorn.
Their tap beers are available at My Place (just down the street) at $6.50/pitcher, Stasiu's in Nord'East, and at William's Pub in Uptown.

Good beers from a local brewer. I love the extra malty Burly Brown Ale.

Jams page has shown itself to put out a continually inconsistent product. The beer is decent when a solid batch is brewewd and rather foamy and sour when a bad batch crops up. Although steps have been taken to improve the quality ( new owners, focusing on the service to the bar community, and most importantly getting rid of James Page) this fledgeling brewery still has a ways to go to match up to some of the other local breweries.
