This is a unique place with a great atmosphere, dark and dreary with great music--which we couldn't hear because they had the Dallas Stars' game blasting. (Which I can understand, but have no interest in being from out-of-state.) With a good beer selection, I could see this being a great neighborhood bar if one lived in the area.

This place is unique. There is something for all types and the atmosphere is like no other. Laid back and friendly with no pretensions. Hang there and you will come to love it.

The Barley House is a great place to go on an all night bender or have a couple of beers with friends. The people are friendly and the music is great. Just don't tick off your waitress, they are mean.

The Barley House is an eating/drinking establishment with good food, an adequate selection of beers, a pleasant staff, and one HELL of a jukebox!! Come for the wonderful Texas music, either live or recorded, and stay for the food, drink, and atmosphere of a truly local Dallas joint.
