Normally when a bar has a dresscode so strictly enforces it's because it pays off in service, food quality, or (being that it's a bar) a really great beer selection. At Fox & Hound, not so. Looking for a fun local bar with good food, beer, and good service?- go to Snuffer's instead.

Don't waste your money. Beer selection is about average for a sports bar. Food is mostly deep fried & a bit below average. Service is pitiful and mostly rude. On one occassion I sat down at a table and 10 minutes later a waitress finally appeared & told me I'd have to leave, I wasn't dressed appropriately, I was wearing "Harley attire".... this is a sports bar..... I go a couple times a year when the rest of my team is in town, and they schedule a happy hour there. On another occasion I ordered a cigar from the cigar menu that was on the table, the waitress brought it but when I started to light up she told me I couldn't smoke it on "this side" of the restaurant. I'd have to go out in the parking lot since cigars were only allowed on "the other side" & it was booked for a party, only cigarette smoking on "this side".... I returned the cigar.... Overall, an average sports bar, but with a very bad attitude. If you wear dockers & Ralph Lauren polo, think Guiness is the mark of an outstanding bar, and like deep fried frozen stuff, then this place might be OK. For all others, don't waste your money here.

The beer selection is "great" only if you haven't been to a REAL beer bar. Just having Guiness on tap doesn't qualify - even Benigans has that nowadays. The dress code is bothersome and a bit silly, and the food / atmosphere is hardly English (both are pure American "sports bar").
Want a real beer bar in the North Dallas suburbs ? Try The Flying Saucer in Addison...

I thought the Fox & Hound in Houston was bad until I saw the one in Dallas. I waited 15 minutes in a dead bar for my drink to no avail. I finally called the barbacker on it (not that he cared) and left. It looks like this chain just doesn't want to succeed.

I have been there several times, with each time getting a little better. The serious problem is the wait staff. They are so viciously rude, one needs to wait about 30 minutes for service on a quiet night. And there is nothing more frustrating than going to a pub and not getting a brew.

Dress code is a little strict, but they have great beer and well-maintained pool tables. They keep plenty of sports on and have a cigar friendly area.

Some of the most unfriendly staff in town. Expensive, ridiculous dress code...this place has more attitude than any other pub in town. Not recommended, unless you're stuck in the neighborhood...

This place is rather expensive. They have a silly dress code (no T-shirts-even during the summer!) which they enforce. The staff can sometimes be rude and not very helpful. On the other hand, they have the best beer selection that you will find in the suburbs. The food is good and reasonably priced. There are many TV to catch your favorite teams, but they can be sticklers about turning on an out of town team. It is worth your time if you are stuck in suburbia.
