This is a real beer bar!!! Super selection, long happy hour, no attitude, non yuppified and it's called a Cafe because the ONLY food they serve is the #1 food product - BEER! (pizza joint two doors down sells awesome slices 2 go if you want more food with your food...er...beer!

this bar is the best in san francisco. it was even voted best bar in the sf chronical, examiner, and guardian. how can you compete? they are the original happy hour in North Beach, and the atmosphere is hopping. can't say enough good things about this place! come see for you're self.

This place rocks! 27 delicious Micro Brews on Tap! They have a wide selection. Columbus has an unbelievable cheap happy hour. But get this....they always have specials in the house which is even lower--like there ongoing $1 beers! Can't beat the deal! And it is right in the heart of North Beach. Outstanding place for getting to know people as they have friendly bartendars and patrons. It is my livingroom. Yes, I am a regular since 1998.

I just visited Columbus Cafe for the first time and the daily Happy Hour two for one is a great deal (2 pints of anything on tap for $3.75). The beer selection is quite good. It's worth a return visit.

Located in North Beach, just off Columbus, this place has a happy hour seven days a week from 4:00 to 8:00. Yes, that's four hours where all 27 tap beers are two for one. With prompt and friendly service and a great crowd this place is a winner. Get there early if you want a seat at the bar as it fills up quickly. (16 oz. glass, domestic $2.50/2, imported $3.50/2, Fall 1998)
