Spilker's now only makes the Hopluia, and it's available only in cans. I spoke to someone who knows the brewer and he said they had to switch away from bottles due to some issues and that they also cut back on variety (no more Cortland Wheat). Hopluia is good beer, obviously hoppy but not obnoxiously so, clean, nice body, very easy to drink with a fairly mild flavor. 7/10. It's available in Lincold and Omaha in cans, but oddly enough not right there in Beatrice, which is the nearest town of any size.

Haven't seen much of Spilker ales around lately, wasn't there a "monkey wrench" at one time? I have however noticed the new cans...which were mentioned in a recent All About Beer magazine article...and brings a question to mind: Is the canned "Hopluia" the same brew as the old "Hopalleuia?" Could be just me, but they do taste different.

I LOVE SPILKER ALES!! The Hoppaleujah (sp) is liquid heaven!
This guy puts out a better brew than anyone in the midwest with equipment that is...well let's just say he doesn't have a lot invested in it, compared to other brewers. See it to believe.
When you're in Lincoln, find a bar that serves Spilker's brews. You won't regret it.

Just a small town brewery with beer I highly recommend! The wheat and the Hoppalluia are becoming very well known in the area, but he also offers great seasonal beer. Summer Seduction and his spiced winter ale are wonderful. I have had very few spiced beers as good as this. Well worth the trip, but the beer is also available in Lincoln bars and some package stores. Lists are available.

Not a pub, so save your time and gas, folks, unless you want to carry out a growler...which is HIGHLY recommended. Some of the finest brews in the midwest.

It's in a small (tiny!) town. It's miles from anywhere. There's no food. So what does Spilker have going for it? World-class beer, brewed by a man who pours his heart and soul into the product. Growlers and kegs are available. The highly hopped Hoppaleuia is Liquid Perfection! Outstanding!
