The wife and I stopped there for lunch, food was good beer selection was as good as I have seen for your imports. Not as many of the local small breweries that I like but still good. Bartenders seemed to know a lot about beer and were interested in what I was drinking.

Stopped by just to chill and have a couple of beers and some appetizers just to get a feel of the place...Eddie the bartendar was not only friendly but cool and kick back. Had a really good time and enjoyed myself - will be going again soon!! Great place to stop and really nice interior...a date would be impressed.

My pal & I were in town to catch a movie (we live in Phoenix and the movie came out in LA first). We were staying in Huntington Beach and just went out for a drive, figuring we would grab a bite to eat somewhere that is unique to Huntington. We found this place, and loved the name (HOW do you go wrong with House of Brews?!). We went in & were immediately impressed. TVs, pool tables, bars, tables, music, fireplace. They had Octoberfest on tap (this was October 20th), which was awesome to me! I LOVED the sweet potato fries! They had a LOT of dishes that I was able to eat, and I'm a vegetarian AND extremely picky, so that was a big deal. I had a pasta dish and my friend had a meat dish - we were both very pleased with our meals. The fried pineapple dessert was VERY TASTY!! The service wasn't bad - our server was training a new server, too. I can't wait to go back!!

We had lunch early Friday afternoon and the place was nearly deserted. Service was quick but the aging bleach blond waitress had an attitude that was unresponsive to downright grumpy. The artwork in this place is disturbing, has no artistic value whatsoever, and provides enough of a reason to stay away from this place. There is a large welcoming fireplace but it has a large flatscreen tv mounted above the mantel which confirms that this place caters to a short attention span. Decor is in very poor taste and has a generally unwelcoming atmosphere. For a place that bills itself as a "house of brews" it has a very poor selection of beer but Boddingtons on tap is a plus. The pastrami sandwich was delicious.

Service is on and off. I have been there once were the waitress gave me a menu as soon as i sat down at the table and brought my drink asap, another time nobody ever came by to ask if i wanted something, even after looking at me with no drink or food. Its a nice place, its super local for me, i would recommend it to anyone who likes to relax and have a few drinks. The tv's and the fireplace are great!

owners Harry and Carmen are awesome people. The staff are friedly and the surroundings are like home. The fireplace, couch, and paintings are a nice touch. You'll have to see the blowfish in their fish tank he's so cute! The food is awesome and all together this place is a great place to hang out. This place is so classy you wouldn't think your in a pub!

Coldest beer in town!! Loved the tab beer because it was so cold. Unlike some other reviews, I had really good service. The JD rib's were terrific!!! I just moved to the harbor & I plain on this being my new hang out! I recomend this place to others...go be your own judge,It's worth it!

This place was ridiculous. As the other reviews say,the waitress forgot my order time and time again, argued with me about it... the manager had to be dragged over after an hour when the waitress lost my american express card, practically blamed me for it. The still insisted we pay our tab even though they had messed up so badly. There was no compensation or sincerity in their mistake. My friend and I are servers, so we are very tolerant of mistakes, but the way we were treated was unheard of. I am reporting them to the BBB and calling the GM and owner. I am appalled.

Our waitress and the manager were of no help in trying to rectify a miscommunication regarding the use of a pool table during a birthday party. Rude and abusive were excellent words to describe their demeanor and actions. We will never step foot in the restaurant again.

Went there a couple years ago, everything was great. Went back recently and the food was horrible. Waitress said they had a new chef (came up when I asked about an item that wasn't on the new menu). Heard a couple at the table next to me send back their dinner. Beer selection very good but i'm not going back.

Went there for the first time to watch a Laker game and experienced the two rudest waitreses in a long time. It was obvious they hated working there and they didn't hide their sentiment. The setup seemed nice but I would never go back there b/c of the rude service.

I've been going to this bar with my friends for at least 7 years. I find the beer good, food excellent, and waiting staff quick and curteous.
However, after 7 years this establishment has lost my business and that of my friends. Why? Simple, the manager was extremely rude and verbally abusive to my girlfriend at her own birthday party. We went out of our way to coordinate with the owner the birthday party, unfortunately the manager decided to forgo the recurring business by being a jerk. Too bad for them because we brought them over $1,500 in business that night alone, not to mention the previous 7 years of business.
I would not recommend this establishment to anyone because of their poor customer relation skills!

Great place with free pool and huge tv's. 99 bottles of beer make for a lot of tasting. I have to disagree on the subject of the knowledge of the bartenders, whenever i am there they are talkative on newer brews. Unfortunately they bring in new beers infrequently. Deceptively hidden in a strip mall, this is actually a great place.

Not a brewpub. Nineteen taps, sixteen of them either micro or imports. Nothing to write home about, and the bartender didn't want to take the time to talk to me about his beers. This place is not worth the effort to find - in a strip mall.
