It's amazing that people who review the establishments in Las Vegas rate swill so high. I think that in this city, whatever gets you drunk is terrific. The beers were nearly tasteless, the only thing that made me happy was the reasonably priced sampler. Atmosphere was ok, especially because it wasn't crowded. Better beer can be had at the AM/PM on the corner.

After reading all the reviews I didn't expect much. That made it a little easier. When I went, the beer was only cheap if you bought dinner, so I payed ~$3.50 for a 20 oz draft. It was an mediocre porter, nothing special or terrible. Casinos aren't my thing so I got bored before I finished my one-and-only draft. I was in Henderson on business so it was nice to have this close by, but I wouldn't recommend a special trip for it.

VERY BASIC BEER, BUT IT WAS DRINKABLE. THEY HAVE ONE ROTATING BEER. WHEN I WAS THERE IT WAS A PORTER. PINTS ARE DIRT CHEAP FOR A BREW PUB. $2.00 FOR THERE BIG 20 OZ GLASS. KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS ALSO A CASINO, SO IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A TRUE PUB ATMOSPHERE YOU WILL NOT FIND IT HERE.

I have been to Barley's a couple of times. It's a nice, smaller place away from the hustle & bustle of the Las Vegas strip. Definitely a decent place, but the beers are mediocre at best. Light, watered down taste for the most part. Not horrible, but not a lot of body.

Just as a note, there is a place called "The Brewery" which is just a bar, and then there is Barley's further east up Sunset St. They are not associated. Barley's has been making their own beer for nine years at this location. The new Sunset Pale Ale highly recommendable. Of course, I'm prejudiced because I made it.

I visited this place last month to find that it was never a brewery, in spite of the name the bartender informed me that it had never been one. Kindof misleading. Other than the bar is nice (dark wood and brass rails) and the service is great. The clientele is Green Valley (preppies in Pollo shirts).

This place is just average. The fact that it's a brewpub in a casino is really cool, but there are obviously other priorities here than the beer. It wasn't bad, though.

Stopped in after playing a round of golf at Black Mountain. I got the sampler. While they have a nice selection of beers I really found it difficult to tell one beer from the other and didn't feel that they were examples of the styles they were intended to be. Most of the people in the bar were drinking other then the house brew. The price was right but the beer just didn't cut it. Wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

When I was in Las Vegas I had a list of brewpubs I wanted to check out and this was one. I stopped in about lunch time but there was no crowd. I tried a sample of their beers and liked the Red Rock the best. I also talked to the brewmaster(Michael Ferguson) who was very friendly and accomodating. He also pointed out some other breweries I should check out while I was in town.

I agree with some of the reviewers below - This is not the best BrewPub in Vegas, but it is OK. The brewpub is slearly not the focus of this establishment, it is merely the restaurant in the casino. I had the Black Mountain, which is a dark lager, not bad, but not great. I was a little disappointed that with the exception of the Wheat, all the brews were lagers. The food was good, and our waitress seemed to know about beer.

I'm a somewhat regular here, but I go for the combination of small batch beer, sports and gambling. Barley's doesn't rate among the better brewpubs in Vegas, but it's OK. It's an AWESOME sports bar, especially if you like to bet the games, and there's also tons of slots and blackjack tables. The beer is average, but not bad, and the brewer's a great guy. The food is about what you'd expect in a sports bar.

I know the beer can be better here. Just not so good this round. Alfredo pasta was good. The Red Rock and Black Mountain both tasted sour or like vinegar. Maybe is was something in the lines.

The beers are a bit light and sweet for me, but then I like strong, hoppy ales. Great food, but the place is too brightly lit and feels too much like a casino.

Excellent beers, food and service. What more could you ask for? A welcome addition to the Henderson, Nevada area. If you stop by, make sure you try the "Red Rock", a great example of a Marzen.

Four types of beer can be found here. There are always a dark (Black Mountain), Red (Red Rock) and Pale (Blue Diamond) as well as a seasonal variety.

Although there are only four beers to choose from, each selection does not disappoint. My personal favorite is the "Black Mountain" the regular dark beer selection. The "Sunset" (an unfiltered red) and the "Mai Bock" are excellent seasonal brews. The service and food are very good. With its small sportsbook and 15-20 screens, Barley's is a sports viewers haven. Unfortunately, the general atmosphere of Barleys is that of a casino and the noise tends to overwhelm the positive aspects of the brew pub.

I recently had the opportunity to visit all of the brewpubs, and microbrewerys in the Las Vegas Area. Barleys was the first on my beer tour of Las Vegas, and I was very impressed with the quality of the brewing, and the taste of the beer. I tried the wheat beer on my visit. The wheat beer tasted Awesome!!!!A nice clove like yeast flavor, and not over hopped like some Brew Pubs. I also had the opportunity of visiting with Mike Ferguson, The Master Brewer. He is a very nice man, who loves to talk about the beer he brews. The waitress, and bartenders were very polite, and although I didn't try any of the food I am sure it was great too. My advice to anyone going to Las Vegas, is to take a tour of all of the breweries Las Vegas has to offer. I had a great time, at the Barleys Brewery, and will visit again on my next trip to Vegas. One more word on the Wheat beer. I now refer to it as "Liquid Gold"....
