On the whole, both beer and food tended to be above average, but the service and attitude -- combined with the Western decor and atmosphere -- made for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. I'll return when I am next in Ogden.

Went in July 2000 ... I remember the beer being marginal and the food being just OK.

I was there couple days ago, and the service was so horrible. The waiter for our table took forever, to take our order. I was not pleased at all with there service. I went to the manager to complain, I don't think that it was ever resolved. So I don't think that I will ever, ever go there again.

Good beer quality and selection. Tried the red and the pale ale, both are average to above average in taste and color. However the food is the primary reason one must go here while in Ogden. Fantastic steaks and an unbelievable dip-fried backed potato. The wait staff is friendly, attentive and suprisingly "beer smart".

Outstanding decor, resembled a mountain lodge. The manager and the entire staff were very friendly and outgoing. The beers, with 5 on tap, ranged from a clear crisp corona style, a heffeweizen, amber, pale ale and a porter. All quite good and quaffable, a particularly amazing feat considering the 3.2% alcohol restriction for brewers. Obviously, since they bill themselves as a steakhouse, the steaks were excellent. For a small town, this is a definate must stop,as is the other brewpub in town, Roosters.

Ebenezer's Rest. & Brewery is not more...and has not been for many years. It has been resurrected as the Ruby River Steakhouse and Brewery, in existence for about 5 years.
