I first saw the Posse back in the early 70s when Harley bikers used to hang out there. I became a regular in the early 80s and have been coming ever since. Children of some regulars at this bar now have their own kids! Posse has changed over the years, but still is a great beer bar.

Great Great Great Great Awesome!
Posse East should be on Austin's Historical registry. I would never have made it through UT Engineering school without $5 pitchers the "the sherrif". Of all my time in Austin, the best was spent carving my name in benches and making fun of the Longhorn Band on Thursday nights.

We stopped in for lunch over Christmas break and found some of the friendliest people around. We didn't have any beer (it was before noon), but the food was good and cheap. Cool place.

Great Great Great Great Awesome!
I absolutely refuse to ever visit Austin without going to the Posse at least once. My brother and sister worked here in years past and I've developed a serious attachment to the place. Lots of memories of football games, imprudent quantities of great beer, equally great food, and great times with good friends.

I eat/hang out there with friends on a regular basis. J.V. and the rest who work there are always friendly and make the place fun to go to. It's a great place to go for lunch, happy hour, watch the game, or just chill out for awhile.
