We had an afternoon to kill so we went downtown and walked around on the 16st Mall and stopped in for a beer. Was able to sit outside and both the weather and view were great. Tried the Molly’s Titanic Brown Ale and it was very good. We ended up staying for dinner and I enjoyed the tuna.

I have always been a fan of Rock Bottom; the food is consistently good and while the beers vary by location I have found them to be solid and true to type at a minimum. Most every location has at least one really outstanding beer and here at Denver 16th Street its got to be the Molly Titanic Brown Ale and/or the Red Rocks Red.

Great food and good beer with friendly service. It's more of a good chain restaurant than a unique microwbrewery but it is worth the trip.

To me, the Rock Bottom was like the place to go and get the 'Coors' of the brewpub world. The beer is OK, with thier most agressive beers (IPA, strong ale) being the only ones notable.

Have been to Rock Bottom, 16th St. Mall several times over the past 5 years or so - consistencey has remained the same. Beers are good, I would give them a great, but they are a bit thin on my palette. The Falcon IPA was my favorite tonight, but since it's -8 degrees out that settles it. The food is a notch above pub fare; outstanding burger tonight and onion soup delicious even thought the crusty bread was served on the side and not in the soup. I had the Unsinkable Molly Brown Ale with the house burger and it was an excellent match. I had a sample of the Black Diamond Stoudt and that was very good. Would have had a pint, but was getting very loopy! Needless to say these beeers have a high alcohol contnet! :) The single track copper is another good beer, but I prefer that when I visit in the summer along with their weiss beer. If you're downtown stop in, it's a fun place and when the patio is open it's a great place for people watching. Just don't sit out there when it's -8 degrees. My ears have just defrosted! Slainte

What a downhill slide. My wife and I used to love to come here. Now, the service is worse than Denny's. This used to be the flagship of the RB chain, now it is a complete embarassment. We have now had 3 bad visits in a row. There will be no number 4, at least not for a while.

I was at the RB with some business associates on a recent busy Friday night. Knowing what other superior establishments are available in Denver; the RB was not my 1st choice. But they did an excellent job, offering a cask - conditioned IPA, a Stout, and a number of other brews from the Rockies Brewing operation in Boulder. The food was well presented and executed well. I think that's why the RB always seems to draw a regular clientele.

Now, I'm not one who usually frequents the proverbial "chain brewpubs," but, truth be told, I was running out of spots to visit while in Denver for the GABF. I must admit that I was somewhat surprised by the quality of the beers (Pale Ale and I.P.A.) that I had at this establishment. Maybe you can chalk it up to my lowered expectations, but both selections were spot on. Don't get me wrong, Rock Bottom won't be placing on my "top ten list for favorite brewpubs in the country," but considering the current state of the Denver scene, it was a welcome respite on this visit.

it was where i discovered something called chipotle, incredibly tasty food. only sampled the ipa and amber (as always) and found them to be very average. really nice looking, comfortable atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. place was pretty empty at 2pm on a thursday...then again, so was the whole city...

I have been to Rock Bottom breweries before and have not been impressed. Needless to say, I was dragged in kicking and screaming!! I was quite suprised. The beers were all good. I tried the Saison, Peery, Barleywine, IPA and another I cannot remember. All were delicious. I waitress was timely and very knowledgeable. If, you are in downtown, you should stop in for a couple.

Nice place. Lots of different brews-had the Raven, Singletrack and Molly's. The Molly's was best for me-English style brown ale. Overall the beers had that kinda "home-brew" flavor which is not a detraction but sometimes I feel that I want a little more. Food is good-key lime pie is great and the staff was most pleasant-Cheers! to the bar-keep formerly of Burlington, VT.

After reading about Rock Bottom before my trip, expectations were low. I was surprised by the variety (Barleywine, Rus.Imp.; Maibock) and pleased with the quality (Rus.Imp. was only a good stout, though). Friendly happy hour service & great downtown location make this a must stop when walking around Denver.

10 years ago, this was my FIRST brewpub. Been chasing them ever since. My 'reunion' trip was dissapointing however. Even in comparison only with other Rock Bottoms, Denver's beers (did them all) are thin and disappointing. Food however got me to take business contacts there 5 times in 4 days!

Decent place, but the fact that my beer ALWAYS shows up about 4oz short is enough to keep me away considering the beer is good, but nothing special.

There was very little distinction between the honey wheat, copper creek and the golden buffaloe. the only difference was in color.

The Rock Bottom chain is generally average as far as beer goes, and this one was just about the average Rock Bottom. Nevertheless, they are always a fun place to stop and they all have great nachos.

Really enjoyed this place much more than last year. Visited 3 times while in Denver this trip. Had a special selection of beers for the GABF...18 of them! The food was great and presented uniquely. The service was great even when crowded and servers very attentive which is hard to find these days. Would recommend to anyone who visits Denver!

Chain-style microbrewery, but still worth a stop because of great location (on 16th Street Mall) for people watching. The food isn't bad either. I had the salmon fish and chips which were very unusual and very good. Limited selection of beers and styles, but the nitrogen conditioned stout was a true original. I visited the Rock Bottom in Seattle and Overland Park, KS (now closed). They share an identical menu and beer selection, but have varied decor and atmosphere. The Denver location is probably the nicest one.

The chance to take out the beer in those gallon mugs was cool, made a nice and unusual present. A highlight of a trip to Denver. The people that work there are very nice and the food was pretty good with generous portions that didn't break the bank. Not bad overall.
